Our non-profit uses a simple b router to a dsl line, with the overall speed throttled down for each user via the routers own internal software. There is also a PC plugged into the router. The PC is $2.00 an hour with a penny jar for printing. The number of customers that use it is amazing, and the draw of clients far exceeds any need to charge. We hung a sign on the building that says 'Free Wi-Fi' and people starting coming like mad. It is an awsome way to add value to your business. Also if your bent on charging, do what we did. On our PC we let people use it for free for 3 months. Got them hooked on it and then we put up a sign warning people about a nominal fee that would start soon, then we started it. Worked out fine. Good luck!!

That is so right. My wife stays at home to raise our three kids and home schools them as well, since the Seattle public school system kind of sucks. And if he wants to come over to my house and tell my wife that she really hasn't achieved much in her life, he is more then welcome too. But I am guessing that those karate classes I paid for her to go to, would pay off. Achievement is measured by how you define success. To me, and my wife, her success will be raising three intelligent well rounded kids while maintaining a good marriage and sense of community.
Blah Blah Blah... I am going to drive my car until the pump won't pump no more. Or the goverment pay's me $$ to drive something different.. And i think that view is very very common...
This doesn't seem to be appropriate. What mass message is next? What if Microsoft pays big $$$ to get into a school and influence kids and their buying power. (Oh wait that happens already..) But seriously, our kids should be learning about the basic subjects, not having teachers running around carring a flag for a certain group. I have views and belong to certain conservative groups. But there is no way I would support an organized group of teachers running around trying to 'spread the word.' We have kids that can't even read when they get through school, and teachers are doing this?
-Teachers, Get off your soap box and go back to teaching. -Music Industry - Ride the wave of change, or get off.
A friend of mine has one, and he says its not as quick as some of his other drives. But he says it is really nice if your looking for a huge amount of space. But he doesn't run Half Life 2 off of it. (Oh wait, did I say that out loud?) I mean he doesn't run Jumpstart 3rd Grade off of it....
I am 31 and have spent most of my life on computers. I use the internet as almost my sole source of information. I haven't been to a library in years... But I also find the internet to be a better source of information. I can read multiple opinions, thoughts, and comments on most any topic. This gives me a better grasp of the situation then reading one book at a time. I am not worried about this fact, I just see it as a newer way of gathering information. -R
So whats next? I wont able to hang up when the next long distance carrier calls me?
Or I cant ignore the person who is knocking on my door soliciting me to buy something?
ARGH!!!
i need a drink.
-waiting for funny sig to crop up..-

I learned how to write in school. But I don't think I have used that skill since then...
Yeah, your life now has meaning.
I am so glad you feel validated....
