He specifically said he is ok with people having a different opinion.
As long as they don't vote that opinion, in which case he wishes them long and painful deaths. You can fuck right off along with him, thank you very much.
>Well, I don't write a fucking successful comic strip that has made me millions of dollars for a living, that's for sure.
FTFY
Oh so if it makes millions of dollars he's suddenly qualified to tell everyone else how they should vote on an issue such as this. Gotcha. I guess if I make billions I can just go to your house and kill you myself. I didn't know the amount of money made on a particular endeavor meant you were suddenly intelligent and an expert on everything. Maybe Hollywood should be running the world after all.
At no point did religion enter this. This is about the oath Doctors take to "do no harm" and the interpretation of that oath. We also don't provide the level of health care to animals that we do humans, so the comparison is ridiculous on its face.
Then you totally don't get it. It sounds like the poster you're responding to has an unconditionally loving and trusting relationship with his wife. They are both very lucky.
No, he really doesn't. This is exactly the kind of political discourse our nation has desperately needed for several decades. Can you think of a practical way to get billionaires to listen to people other than pointing guns at them?
What the fuck do billionaires have to do with this? Oh you were just looking for a way to point fingers at the 1%.
I get the guys in pain, that his dad is in pain but if his mind is "98%" gone as he says then his dad is suffering less than he is. If his dad had a living will requesting to not be left on life support than it likely wouldn't be an issue. There are legal ways around assisted suicide, it just seems Scott would rather ignore them and point fingers like every other douche on the planet.
Since we're using a person's vocation to decide whether or not their opinion is valid, what do you do for a living?
Well, I don't write a fucking comic strip for a living, that's for sure.
Of the BSD's DragonFly is probably one of the more important and active ones. The filesystem they use is one of the biggest advancements in BSD in a long time. I'm not a DragonFly user but I do track it in hopes of one day using it at a point that it fits my needs. FreeBSD 10 however is addressing all of my concerns so DragonFly may slip away from my sites soon.
"I'm okay with any citizen who opposes doctor-assisted suicide on moral or practical grounds. But if you have acted on that thought, such as basing a vote on it, I would like you to die a slow, horrible death too."
"If you're a politician who has ever voted against doctor-assisted suicide, or you would vote against it in the future, I hate your fucking guts and I would like you to die a long, horrible death. I would be happy to kill you personally and watch you bleed out."
I'll attribute most of this to personal pain... but seriously, Scott needs to dial it back a notch. When you go into threats of killing someone, your political discourse has gone way too far.
Well, he's a comic creator, not a doctor, philosopher or politician. He's somewhere up there with Janitor or Central Park Mime in my book. Why he expects me to take what he says seriously is quite curious. It's like all the Hollywood hookers stripping their clothes off for PETA like that's suddenly going to make me eat veggies for the rest of my life.
I get the guys in pain, that his dad is in pain but if his mind is "98%" gone as he says then his dad is suffering less than he is. I'm not suggesting condemnation, just mitigation. One might HOPE Amazon would be quite willing to make adjustments because it's the right thing to do.
Based on what evidence? You want a company to make a major adjustment in working conditions because you can't help yourself from fucking whining about them? Prove it or shut the fuck up.
How many bodies do you need for this? Must they be permanently disabled or will it be OK if they recover 80% in a year or two on the dole? How overt do the signs need to be? Must they don their Napoleon hats and bobble their lips in the corner all day or is it enough that if a voice like the one in their headphones says "invade France and slap people with a herring" they do it without question?
It's funny that your deduction doesn't meet the level of proof you demand.
How about a simple diagnosis? I didn't know hyperbole was enough to condemn a company of employee abuse but I guess in your narrow little mind an accusation is all thats needed without any fucking evidence.
It turned into a liberal vs conservative issue because those who aren't in favour of workers not being made ill by their work needed a way to justify that, and therefore did their best to associate it with what's commonly seen as an extreme, and slightly insane political affiliation. They then burned this straw political affiliation man at the steak to demonstrate how dumb it was to support the idea of workers not being made ill by their work.
Can you show me who got ill at this Amazon warehouse please? Oh yeah, you can't because no one has..........
Call me back when they find evidence of actual people with actual mental illness which is actually attributable to the job.
What, you're asking for causal attribution in individuals? You're aware that there are huge swathes of medical science where you simply won't get any? Unless you're willing to undergo a premature autopsy, that is. It's quite disingenuous to dismiss the study results for this reason alone.
He isn't talking about "huge swathes of medical science," he's talking about one very narrow one where its very possible and in fact reasonable to get a diagnosis. Since there hasn't been one, it's also reasonable to deduce that the whole thing is a money grab. Not exactly hard to deduce either considering Amazon employees are striking right now in Germany (soon other places in Europe) for higher pay.
Yes, lots of HR departments in the Silicon Valley advertising for ex-cons with tech skills. This is a great way to spend tax payer money. Let's double down and spend a few billion (in a State with serious financial issues no less) educating ex-cons that can't get security clearance and who are untouchable by HR.
So you want to spend millions or perhaps billions educating convicted felons to work jobs that HR will not hire them for because they are felons? You are a fucking idiot.
It's not the attention. Its the challenge. They sometimes leave clues because its like playing chess against the police. More often than not however they leave clues because it's part of the ritual or pathology, not because they crave attention. Hence the reason the FBI often says they want to get caught. Very few care or have cared about the attention. Typically the attention seekers aren't so much psychopaths as they are malignant narcissists.
How about, before you put life changing drugs inside animal fodder, YOU prove that it's REALLY harmless. Why should the burden of proof be upon me ?!?
Because it's already proven harmless. After decades of widespread use your side of this argument still can't show any scientific evidence to the contrary. But hey, can't argue with stupid. You go on and believe it all day.
... and then think this God had no idea mankind might use and apply that intellect and reason. How do people rationalize such beliefs?
You're narrow view of the ideology is your fault, not theirs. You gloss over intellect and forget God also granted free will to use it. Typical of an atheist to pick and choose the aspects of the argument they wish to mock and/or deride.
Now enter partisanship - there is a party who would like nothing better than for the healthcare system to fail miserably so they can make hay out of it.
Not nearly as deplorable as the other party who is actually MAKING it fail. Deflect all you like, you and your little rat friends own this mother fucker. Screw you
My point is that the technology aspect of bringing such a system up and having it function is a separate issue from the politics of whether the law is a good idea for the country or not. Do you really disagree with that?
Considering part of the law is to bring the site up and have it function..... yes I would fucking disagree with you. Stop passing shitty fucking laws and then trying to draw a dichotomy between the law and its implementation. There is a reason people don't trust government and this shitty fucking law, it's shitty fucking rollout and it's shitty little kool aide drinking sycophants (like you). You are the very essence of what is wrong with this entire fucking thing.
You're obviously a troll and someone thats never run a business. How about we take 90% of your income away and see how well you survive? I'm done with you. Can't argue with fucking retards.
He specifically said he is ok with people having a different opinion.
As long as they don't vote that opinion, in which case he wishes them long and painful deaths. You can fuck right off along with him, thank you very much.

We get so caught up on religious dogma
At no point did religion enter this. This is about the oath Doctors take to "do no harm" and the interpretation of that oath. We also don't provide the level of health care to animals that we do humans, so the comparison is ridiculous on its face.
Also, "I win this debate" while the opponent is in mourning. Classy.
Classier than wishing other people painful and slow deaths. Fuck Scott.
Then you totally don't get it. It sounds like the poster you're responding to has an unconditionally loving and trusting relationship with his wife. They are both very lucky.
"Otherwise I wouldn't have married her."
Yeah, real loving. Give it up.
He didn't say he got married because he wanted someone to kill him.
"Otherwise I wouldn't have married her."
Nice try fuckwad.
No, he really doesn't. This is exactly the kind of political discourse our nation has desperately needed for several decades. Can you think of a practical way to get billionaires to listen to people other than pointing guns at them?

"Why'd you get married?"
"So I'd have someone to kill me some day"
Seriously, if that's your outlook on life/marriage I feel really sorry for your wife.
"I'm okay with any citizen who opposes doctor-assisted suicide on moral or practical grounds. But if you have acted on that thought, such as basing a vote on it, I would like you to die a slow, horrible death too."

Tell ya what dumbass. Go find some ex-cons and give them the keys to your house. Let's see what happens.
Now ask the executives of Silicon Valley tech firms to give the keys to the companies infrastructure to a bunch of ex-cons.
Get the fuck out of fantasy land you ignorant sack of shit.

Miley Cyrus tweaked with a midget and lit a joint on stage at the VMA's. News for nerds!
