I hold a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and have completed three postdocs and have held positions in industry as well as teaching at the university level. I never in my career have worked with another Ph.D. who said that he believes in evolution, nor was the word "evolution" mentioned even once in all my undergraduate or graduate education. The theory that atoms and molecules "randomly collide" and just happen to "create" DNA millions of base pairs long, enzymes with specific functions and other complex biomolecules is ridiculous. Perhaps that is why the vast majority of chemists don't believe that. What do they believe? Well, that's a matter of personal religious belief. I myself find no contradiction between real objective science and the biblical account of creation.
Does anybody know of a secure surfing service that the government doesn't have a back door key to? IE SSL encryption is definitely out, and I'm not so sure about anonymizer.com, either.
I recently sent a letter to my congressman complaining that the ATF--and the letter never arrived. A month later, I had to fax him a copy. Is my name, which was on the return address, on some kind of watch list?
Is SSL really that secure? Microsoft provides a back door key to their browser encryption to the US gov't. It seems that only an open-source browser like Netscape or Mozilla would stand a chance of being secure.

The government isn't THAT stupid. Maybe if you use PGP it will slow them down by a week.
