I guess that's true. We socialists do tend to be sticks in the mud. That one Sheik's indoor ski lodge in Saudi Arabia wouldn't fly in the Netherlands, Canada, or any place where dog-eat-dog capitalism isn't king. On the plus side it's cold enough there you don't need to build a lodge indoors to ski.
That's a good use our our civilization's precious natural resources. Sorry, but I hate cars, and I hate spending money maintaining the infrastructure that makes them practical (e.g. without tons of Gov't funds for roads, oil subsidies, etc cars wouldn't have caught on).
Even a community college is hard when you're working full time. Most of the degrees that'll lead to a good salary need full time schooling. The classes are in the day and you have to attend classes.
There's some knowledge based jobs out there that don't fall in that category, but there was a story today about those going away to computers and outsourcing...
School isn't as easy as everything thinks. People always point to guys that work two jobs and go through school, ignoring the fact those guys are genetic freaks that get by just fine on 4 hours of sleep a night. If you can't physically do that you're SOL.
I do not think that means what you think it means. Punitive is for the purpose of punishment. How is making someone who benefits tremendously from society pay for that society a punishment? What exactly are we punishing them for? All the clean air & water, roads, schools that make useful workers for them, and the military and police that protect them?
The manufactures bother with custom firmware? Don't they make the money on the hardware? I can see it in the business world, where Cisco makes a fortune on charging for patches to their custom firmware, but in the home space you don't pay Cisco for a patch, you go buy a D-Link.
Prior to 1995 we had only highly technical users (and they were wealthy too, pre-1995 an internet capable PC wasn't cheap). The Internet changed for a lot of reasons, don't blame it all on one jerk.
It's funny that with the same breath/. says it's so easy to spam we need harsh penalties, and with the next breath we say he had to be fully aware of the consequences. Maybe he's mostly non-technical, and thought it was pretty harmless. He couldn't be too technical, he got caught, didn't he? Ever think of that?
I wonder what caused it? Adobe did patch a few of their nastier PDF & Flash bugs. It'd be funny if that's all there was. Suck for computer shops though, business is way down:P.
Not the future. Didn't you get the memo? Capitalism says the cheapest is best, and amenities cost money. You might see some for the visitors (gotta keep the client happy), but you think they'll pay to keep the place cool for the admins? Not a chance.
But is this safe? I thought you needed to ground the mobo against metal... Still, a pre-mounted mobo that can be moved to a better case when you feel like it? Sign me up!
I think they just don't like the idea of not knowing what the companies in their stock portfolio are up too. Make no mistake, the Supreme Court is in it for the money
but you haven't been able to cheat the system and buy a Mac for top quality hardware in ages. Ever since they stopped using Power PC it's been the same PC Junk that Dell sells. You're paying $1400 dollars for a titanium shell...
Yeah, I was doing it with a python script at first, but it was too much of a pain to cut off the introductions on my podcast downloads. I'm working on tagging and support for more sites (dailymotion and whatnot) right now. The next step from here is the ability to string together multiple videos into single podcasts. I'm tinkering with the youtube API for some of that. I may do the multi platform stuff first so I don't complicate things. I haven't had too much call for a Linux port, but than again I plan to port it to android (once I can afford one:) ). It's one of those things that you can do so much cool stuff with I hardly know where to begin:D.
that I don't already have? Just curious. I've looked at it a little, and it looks like building Plugins with javascript & HTML/CSS instead of pure XUL, but I'm already doing that with the next release of my plugin. It's easy enough to use the DOM to load custom HTML and insert it where you want. I've seen lots of these frameworks build up super complex stuff that'd be great if I was writing a complete application, but in the end it's just a plugin...
different from a row of icons? Except maybe they're not well organized? I didn't see anything in the video I hadn't already seen a million times though. Is it just a slow news day?
but what I was buying I found on mp3.com back in the day. I like power metal, but it's so hard to find new bands. I know there out there, but there's lots of pretty lousy acts and even if funds were unlimited (there not) it's just too much bother to find them. I miss being able to just pull down a bunch of cool demo tracks from mp3.com from up and coming bands. Stuff like Dragonforce, Power Quest, Frostweaver (anyone but me heard of 'em? Only had 5 tracks).
I guess I got a taste of the good life (musically) in the 90s and it spoiled me. emusic was great while it lasted, but they've creeped up to to 50 cents a track and more. The economy's in the toilet. I don't have $30 month to blow on mp3s...

his ROT-26 encryption!

they risk losing market share to Firefox otherwise. There is no Microsoft, there is only XUL ;).

have you seen how much fat that stuff has? And don't get me started on cholesterol!

why should I?
Now their Cyber Vigilantes. Should be asking if Upton Sinclair should be cheered or feared?

I like to remember the world the way I think it was, not the way it really was. I guess this fixes that, but I still don't like pictures :).

Now I get it. I completely missed that. Twice. I need more caffeine. Thanks!
Not yet :(. I was thinking of a MacOSX port next, than Maybe x86 linux. What are you running?

The PS3 has real-time weapon change, after all...
