I have a Spire Meta. As a student and a mountaineer I can say this is an excellent bag. I have had Kensignton bags and targus backpacks in the past but they are nothing to Spire. Somewhere I have pictures of me trekking in the Swiss alps with my Spire pack and TiBook;)
There seems to be a mass exodus of academic/university Red Hat users migrating to Debian. With the shift in focus to the 'enterprise' market, are you at all concerned about losing the university user base?
Salesman: Surely you'll want to protect your purchase and buy our additional three year, small print, no cover warranty. For the cost of a cup of (Starbucks) coffee a day, you'll rest easy knowing that if you drop your new MS gadget while entering the front door of a public bus on a rainy Tuesday, before 07:30, but not travelling to work, school, or church, and your house, auto, or life insurance won't pay, then your device will be sent by priority rusty-ship(TM) service to our 3rd world repair facility within 6 months or we'll send you a coupon for a quarter of the wholesale price (minus sales commission, service charges, bank fees, and subject to arm-wrestling our regional manager).
Right, because everyone wants to spend days installing and weeks debugging an OS on their brand new Apple computer. Many of the THOUSANDS of apps for linux can be compiled on OS X either with fink, ports, or even a./configure; make; make install.
Yes it is likely that the author of the linked e-mail intended the.sig as a joke; however, humour (particularly sarcasim) is difficult to convey in written text. More to the point, the author represents a company that is contractually responsible for an electronic voting machine. He should have known that this sort of humour could be misinterpreted. It was an error in judgement that could cost his company money and, no matter what he intended, that is the bottom line.
How much will this next generation vehicle cost? The budget goes first to the White House for approval, then to Congress. The final design will be announced in August 2004.
Here's a thought, let's imagine how much more money there would be for building a new shuttle if we weren't invading other countries...

Well it seems that CowboyNeal has just awoken from a five year coma.
The Cassini-Huygens satellite is currently nearing the end of its seven-year voyage to Saturn! It was launched on way back in October 1997 and will arrive in July 2004. In December 2004 the Huygens probe will be ejected from the orbiter and will descend into Titan's cloudy atmosphere.
For those that care, there is a huge archive of Cassini Jupiter data availible. Sadly, there are few (if any) Jupiter publications as it seems a few NASA engineers & scientists are still mucking around with the calibration.
I am only in favor of this if they also make it mandatory that we login to the internet using this card. Forget about linking what I view online to my network MAC address, I want it linked to my DNA. Hasn't Speilberg already made a movie about this?

So what do you suppose the women of Wal-Mart's music store will look like?

If it weren't for Ben where would you be?
So your suggesting that Linux currently:
(1) is a better desktop than OS X and
(2) has more (better?) apps.
Wow folks, that is some serious insight.

If you do not succeed, try, try again.

Is it possible to use UML concepts with Fortran 77? Now that is a book I would buy.
