Hey cporter/marian - yeah that was a fun time to work at SGI although I was never all that into bzflag Then again I had an indy that died on any GL stuff...I happened to download bzflag and play it maybe 6 or 8 months ago on a SUN with an Expert3D-Lite card though - I will say the game is better with textures and lighting:-)
As for the other poster's comment about wasting time/resources - the big machines I saw at SGI were all in a lab setup and while they may have been idle from time to time for use as bzflag servers the real purpose of them was for reproducing and fixing customer problems and that is indeed what they were doing most of the time.
Now as for me..I had calls to close, no time for bzflag!:-)
