  1. For the love of god and all that is holy, pass it! on RIAA Smacked by DoS · · Score: 1

Ok...I lied in a past post regarding this matter....I'm NOT going to sit back with a six pack and watch the net go down from all the DOS attacks that this bill would create, I'm going to go to a location with a nice OC-255 backbone on a hub, as close to the center of the USs network as I can with a six pack and a carton of cigarettes, run tcpdump and Etherboy, take score and laugh my a** off as I watch the net go down.... RIAA - 13 users offline, The score for those not in the RIAA is currently plotted as what looks like it WOULD be a huge spiderweb, if not for the tremendous surge of bandwidth towards the RIAA....have a nice day, folks, and keep checking back for more "Cyberwar Score" with Cryptographrix and the gang....

I can't wait to lie back with a six pack and watch the entrire Internet go down, with the American public(and government) in shambles as to who they blame for this as well as letting this bill pass....it basically makes the Internet a battleground for Digital Rights Management nuts....

  4. Hmmm.....OK then, I'm gonna claim a copyright on Legalizing Attacks on P2P Networks · · Score: 1

Well, since almost every one of us were on the net before any of those "copyright holders," I claim a copyright on the head(which is actually prolly copyright W3C, but hey, we've been using it all this time). I'd like to hire all of you to help me "protect" my copyright by DDoSing Sony, Vivendi, etc....hmm, one LARGE DDoS...that should get them thinking who they're dealing with....funny thing is, they're prolly gonna have to pay us to help them DoS the P2P networx, which, if happens, will be just plain stupidity. "When Masturbation's Lost it's fun..." - Oh wait, that's copyrighted by Green Day....guess slashdot's in for a DoSing by BMG now, huh?

  5. Ah, MS-DOS 2.11 on UVA Computer Science Museum · · Score: 1

Remember the first Tandy Manuals?....my guess is, once they figured out how to put the info in the command line itself(either in man pages, or the classic -h /h -? or --help), it became "more profitable" not to put it in the actual manuals.....giving Windoze the easy catch of the customers....

  6. 10111011.culture.lo on A New Low for Web Advertisers: Pop-Up Downloads · · Score: 1

Interesting...when a corporate department does it, it's called "pop-up downloads" or "automatically downloaded advertising," but when someone who doesn't have a slaughterhouse full of lawyers backing them does it, it's called a virus...somehow, I smell another lawsuit coming from California's direction....
