I can see your point about the ripple effect on the economy...but, think about this: the money that was not spent on the software would surely have been spent on other goods. Sure, some developers didn't receive this money, but someone else sure did.
On a slightly different angle, the people who download said warez probably would not have even paid for this software in the first place. They're just downloading it to trade with others and maybe use it a few times.
If a photographer downloads a copy of Photoshop instead of buying it, he might spend his money on a new lens or something.
If a geek downloads WindowsXP without paying for it, he might spend that money on porn:)
Stonehenge was actually clever... it's like a giant stone calendar that is set precisely so the sun will rise thru certain parts of it on the solstice. There are smaller stones around the outside that predict the time of lunar eclipses.
Well, FILM is 24fps. NTSC Television (which includes VHS and DVD) is 30fps (actually 29.97). PAL (not used in the United States) is 25 or 24fps.
Besides, if you were doing bullet time, you would probably want to slow it down more than just 50% so it would be nice and slow. The effects in the Matrix movies are a lot slower than 50% of real-time.
