  1. In a sense, he's right on Bill Joy on Linux and Mac OS X · · Score: 5, Insightful

After all, Mac OS has got solid user oriented UI... We're working on that with linux - but we've got years to go before it's set for the home user -> linux trounces for business of course :-D oh, and fp!

  2. Economy on the rise? on Technology Spending On The Rise · · Score: 5, Insightful

Personally, I think the last tech boom was simply all about the hype. People got excited. They blew money. We prospered :) It took the last few years for everyone to catch a breather and realize that amidst all the hype, there might actually be something in all this hype... My father (an economist in his day...) thinks that the job market by this summer will be much better than it is now... supposedly the US growth is around 7% of GDB in the *last quarter* [translation: 'off the charts'] not an expert opinion, but he predicted the bust a year ahead... Don't get your hopes up... but don't lose hope...

  3. Are these effective? on Zelda Bundle For GameCube Confirmed · · Score: 4, Insightful

I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, but the games they make *are* good. I wonder if bundles like these are enough to boost sales of the GC... If the price cut wasn't good enough... what is?

  4. Re:Pencil -- Not pen... on When Word Processors Are Out: What's The Best Pen? · · Score: 1
You're talking about the Fisher Space Pen

The pen (well, the ink cartridge) is pressurized with Nitrogen, so the pen writes at any angle. The ink will write on almost any surface, including grease, and wet paper.

I too laughed at the development cost of the pen... but one of my friends works in Aero/Astro. He told me that they probably didn't want to use pencils because of the graphite dust.

  5. Re:Think Geek to the Rescue! on When Word Processors Are Out: What's The Best Pen? · · Score: 1

But not Gel Grip Pens... Sensa makes the most comfortable pens ever... I haven't had handcramps in a few years...

  6. Try a directional antenna? on External Antennas for Tungsten C Handhelds? · · Score: 1

I would suggest first trying a powerful directional antenna at the base station (directed at the playground).
See what kind of range that gets you. If you're lucky, maybe that could be sufficient.

  7. Re:Contra!? on Nintendo Ressurecting Classic NES Games to the GBA · · Score: 1

A remake of the third one is due out this fall.
