FFS...think outside the square. What about examination situations? You generally don't want students downloading the answer from google instead of creating it themselves.

Probably the same day gun makers get done over for someones suicide. ie. never.

You want Grandma to use a password-protected website or FTP server??!! Hang on...you want Jane User to set these services up??!
I suggest you get out of your cave and realise how the real world works. Jane User and Grandma User doesn't care for SSL/PGP/SFTP..etc. They want something that works and something thats easy - enter email and GMail.
Not really. Google is one dimensional. It searches for occurences.
What the US Gov want seems to be relational. In other words they want to cross check results based on results.
One Google search that returns 2.5M hits is fast but imagine cross-checking 2.5M results by each other then across ~10 (??) databases. How long would that take? Answer: An exponetially long time.
Any suggestions on how one might aquire such a device in Australia?
Creative Australia didnt want to know about it and unfortunately I dont know any kind souls, like yourself, that live in the US.

Bad luck to those ligitimate ISP's out there that get brought down by a few big National ISP's.
Blanket measures like this are wrong. Target the individual ISP's that are known bad.
You work for AOL don't you?
Are you serious? Don't get my wrong, I love my porn. But I don't think I would sink that low.
A Mac? lol.

To keep you and I alive. Whats the point of a "cheap" flight if no one has checked that we will be alive at the other end?
