Sorry but this comment is extremely flawed. Throughout the rest of the world are countries like my own that manage to have a free, democratic society without the populace being armed to the teeth. Conversely there are also plenty of countries who are absolutely saturated with guns that are still run by malevolent dictators.
As far as I can see the only time I would need to start keeping guns around the house is when every other looney in my country starts carrying one... rather self defeating really.
