What i would like to see would be a windows file system that is compatible with this...
(meaning performance wise)
And yes... scrap my last comment lol
"you could run any app on WinMo"
True... that is why the platform is enterprise friendly... they can get their windev taskforce to clober together 2 lines of code and produce useful app.
First thing i do on any new computer is reinstall the whole kit...
Vendores and suppliers have not a clue on how to setup it to my specifications... The same will happen with the kids...
Also, if you don't allow them, you may even get sued... After all, anyone will say:
Think of the children... and then slam a lawsuit on you! (it doesn't matter what you did mind);)
They are a registered charity in UK.
SO, it only need UK citizens to make the move to have that status removed!
As a charity they are entitled to several TONS of fiscal advantages... That you pay with your taxes.
If there is anything I'm against is ANY kind of censorship... And filtering content is just a camouflaged way to do it.;)

All judicial complains about this post have to be settled in an arbitration court in Lisbon/Portugal.
And even with that, they have to surpass the "good faith" and "fair use" of it's name.
Because, trademark is for "commerce/trade", and they did use it for "art/social theory study", which i believe are opposed as black and white...
Also by be in a school and included in the current projects of it, they will have much more protections then Amazon can use against... and yes, I'm using Amazon without their authorization, because, yup, i do can refer to them when i need to refer to them (a trademark doesn't preclude the use of the name, only the exploitation of it for commercial uses by others without authorization).;)
No it is not a crime, it is a copyright infringement and it's a CIVIL case.
Or at least was, until some morons decided that prosecuting a kid downloading a song is more important then arresting some violent bank robbers (or even some terrorists as it is trendy now)...
Go figure!
Does not apply.
They aren't using any trademark. The user of the browser is the only one responsable for the plug-ins that run on their browser.
There is nothing to see here...
Internet filtering is completely useless, because if you ask another site for your site info, the other site, not blocked will return an answer.
So, if you have a direct call, blocked (blank page or something), and the indirect call (with some sort of answer), then you will know that you have being censored...
For sure there are already sites that allow this kind of magic to occur...
I believe they are called... proxies...;)
The good thing of this deal is that cannonical is receiving resources from it, and that in turn can help make Ubuntu a better distro (alas... even i'm turning to Linux with Ubunto - all my machines have a VM with it hehehe)
The simple passing of all tests doesn't necessarily means that you didn't broke anything.
It means only that you passed the tests.
If the tests don't provide coverage for ALL the business issues that the piece of software is supposed to solve, then you pass the tests, but will have no clue if you broke or not things apart.
Best approach is to evaluate current test procedures and check if they provide enough coverage for at least all user related actions and all the automated actions.
Only after you know that your testing procedures are sound, you can have that assurance...;)

In solid state there is no such thing... it's all address based access. ;)

Like anyone with IQ of more then 1... ;)
You already have that... It's called concessions and they are basically a timed monopoly.
You launch a franchise.
You will develop a brand new game every 2 years, with at least one sequel in between.
If with on-line support you will launch at least per trimester a patch with corrections and new content...
And you keep milking the franchise for lots of years! ;)

One Click doesn't apply... There is no transaction buy/sell involved. (not to mention the unenforceability of it but that is another case...)

I fail to see where the "invention" is... But alas, IANAL... nor a Patent Troll... ;)
You are forgetting ARM, Alpha, and several others... (from SIG if i recall). Ones got brought, others just faded away...
Unreadable!

Never noticed that GIMP had a UI...
Actually the system works in other places like in Portugal:

Cheers,
Not good enought...
The EULA must be in the package itself!
"He also gripes about Firefox's preferences and settings not being in the same location as IE's"
Right on the spot... since when, in the MS universe, did the options stayed in the same place between major versions of anything?
Windows? IE? you name it... i just don't remember (anyway, they have to sell those "refresher" coursewares...).
Mirror sites problems can be well checked with simple scripts.
Besides, nowadays, we have bittorrent... which allows everyone to be a mirror...
As a creative work, software is protectable under copyright law.
IT HAS AN AUTHOR.
I won't buy any of those formats anyway...
