An exoskeleton is one thing but 30+ ton mech's are impractical because:
1 Legs are more complex and therefore higher maintenence.
2 Walking tanks can't go hull down as easy, so they're better targets
3 Legs are slower than wheels or treads unless you have myomer muscles. (and we don't)
4 Legs mean you have a much higher centre of gravity. (recoil, impacts, etc.)
5 Legs can't support the same armor or equipment loads
6 Feet with that much weight on them would tend to punch through stuff from the impact of stepping, and therefore trip you up. (stuff like bridges, roads with sewers, or even just weak ground)
I understand that if you had a car and go over 100 miles per hour that you could get pulled over. But does the cops have a right to take away your car leaving you in the middle of nowhere ?
IANAL but if you where going fast enough they would take your car. That being said they would also give you a lift so you wouldn't have to walk to jail.
Eye tracking could still be usefull for aiming. Look then push the trigger. IMHO a combination of voice, eye, hand, and foot operated controlls would be best.
Your'e compairing a port of a PS2 game running on a PC to other games running on a PC. Maybe it's a crappy port? One thing to think about is that a PS2 game that looks very good on a TV would look like crap on a PC monitor, I'm not sure why but that's the way it is. If you want to make a fair comparison between PS2 and PC games, look at both of them on their home turf.
People don't float in a Faraday cage. If gravity was stopped by one they probably would, or they might fly to the ceiling from centrifical force instead or something equaly funky. My point is people would notice a lack of gravity.
>Do you really want the federal government controlling your connection and data?
No, but I haven't seen government roadblocks every 100 miles where they search my car either. Distrust of the government a good and practical attitude, but I trust telcos and cable companies less. I'm also not advocating a govenment only solution, but I do think a publicly owned system may be necacary.
More and more internet access is a nececary thing to people and companies alike. I think govenment's should treat the backbone connections like a road system, public funding and public access. Think about the economic effects of all highways having unregulated tolls, do we want this for our data?
Not to detract from stuff like hydrogen and batteries, but alchahol is one very good fuel. You can convert a car to alchahol just by reprograming the fuel injection to put in less fuel to air, or by replacing the carberator. Most other alternate fuels require costly conversions or even a new engine.
Alchahol can be aquired by fermenting almost any plant matter. People could not only grow stuff you but also make fuel from grass clippings etc. All that needs to be done is stock it in gas stations.
If you think grenades suck, you're using them wrong.
They are for covering your own vehicle with so when you die you blow up extra big.

I think the point he's trying to make is that nasa has never lost an astronaught in space, only during launch and re-entry.
But you're right, it's not that easy. Low earth orbit and mars missions are like apples and watermelons.
Do you want to trust Microsoft to stop viruses?
Seems like a bad bet to me. If I want good anti-virus software I'm getting it elsewhere.
Ok, here goes:
Makes 1 serving
1 brick tofu
3/4 cup frozen juice concentrate
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup Sugar
3+ tablespoons loose green tea
Throw it in a blender.
This stuff is the best. Tons of protien, carbohidrates, caffine, and some sugar. It also tastes good, at least in my opinion.

It's so simple, I've made a four step program.
Required tools:
mercinaries, explosives, screwdriver
1. have merc's shoot guards
2. Blow open vault door with explosives
3. take out harddrives (or whatever) with screwdriver
4. take data from hardrives
simple, not easy, but simple
Where do I sign?
