I found the history of the assimilation, regulation, and commercialization of broadcast media to have a direct comparison to what is happening to various internet technologies today. The book takes you from the 'hobbyists' of the early 1900s, through the military's acceptance and then the creeping regulation up to the banal programming that is with us today.
