    AMD and ATI are the least Linux friendly. Intel is be most pro Linux hardware developer and NVidia a distant second.

    Actually it seems Nokia has a patent on the port of WebKit. They have added a free license for GPL software, but not for LGPL like WebCore is.

    WebKit is likely to come out with a Windows version before Konqueror does.

    It will probably be pretty broken though (because WebCore is fitted to OSX capabilities and needs), but it will be first.

    Americans have a hard time adjusting to the fact that the computer world doesn't revolve around them anymore. It's a general problem right now that American companies will not buy software and hardware from companies not perceived to be American.
    In many ways it's just like the automobile industry in the 70's and 80's

    Well. What kind of response did you expect when response that is has been fixed in CVS is not enough?

    Fixed in CVS means:
    1. We agree with you criticism
    2. We have _already_ done something about it.
    3. You can expect the fix in the next release.

    The only time such an answer is not 100% perfect is when you are just looking for things to criticize to make them look bad. Then it is very unsatisfactory that it has already been fixed.

    What's the point in reviewing budget cards if the require investing in a top computer?

    All of the cards require PCI express and consume extreme amounts of power requiring motherboards and PSU less than a year old!

    My ancient Geforce4 ti4200 can play all of those at more than 10fps (using the oldblivion patch, because bethesda are the whores of the graphics card industry).

    Just don't run with stupid levels of detail.

    Actually the fuel taxes collect slightly less than what is needed to maintain the roads.

    The US you just pay for roads over income tax instead of fuel tax.

    Actually the counter arguement to the open universe, is that we are not dying a heat death. Which would indicate a limited universe.
