Mozilla definitely sluggish for me, although I can only claim to have tried the Win32 version.
Fortunately you haven't tried Linux version of Mozilla, 'cause if you find the Win32 version sluggish... Worst of all, when you're getting a ftp:// URL in one window, all others choke. Man, this is annoying...
Probably the actual number or beta testers is the same or slightly higher, but there are much more "mainstream" users now, less likely to compile a stable kernel, let alone a development one.
Some cable providers (like portuguese NetCabo) solve the problem in a simple way: they will only provide internet service if you also subscibe cable TV...
And what does this have to do with the fact that most programmers wouldn't be negatively affected by all software being free? How would this disallow you to start your OWN business writing custom software?
For example, take a look at what the ReiserFS guys are doing: they charge for implementing new features on demand or porting to other OSs, but distribute the code freely.
Not only are you a shameless zionist bastard, you're also a hypocritical one. What if you and all americans were expelled from your land? Were it not for you and your bastard fellows, the british, there would be no conflict in the middle-east.
I've come to a conclusion that upgrading a processor is a myth. In the old times (486 and before) all processors from the same family used the same socket, so upgrading was possible. Nowadays it is not. Yes, you may buy a better soundcard or graphics card, you may add some RAM, or even a larger and faster hard disk. But you'll probably never upgrade the processor, because by the time it's so old you must upgrade, you won't find a suitable replacement.

Hell, I remember using a (dead tree) book, the Internet Yellow Pages, to find interesting ftp sites!!!
What about those 8kB memory expansions for the Sinclair ZX81?
Posters should be responsible for what they post, not ISPs or forum hosters. This could be the beginning of the end of a free speech internet.

What about cockraches?

No need for GPS: cell ID from cellular phone networks would do the job, although on a coarser level.
