What you forget is that whatever is downloaded isn't the product that is sold as a 'cd'. The CD is in a case, can be stored, and has a booklet. The downloaded file is a *modification* of the musical content. I mean that the file has been dramatically changed and does not represent the original in that fashion. For me, napster was more like interactive radio, a medium to plug the artists.

and afterwards check the log file for errors

What about this little script I run at login...

DISPLAY=$IPNUM:0
export DISPLAY
fi

It automagically detects if I'm tunneling X through ssh.
