It takes lawyers and money to bring a lawsuit to court. Class action is more preferable since it actually may interest some law firm to represent all these people. It is like a carpool.
If each seeks $10k for infrigiment, you round up
100 of them then you got yourself 1 millon dollar lawsuit.
This is a bit off topic, but does anyone know of ports of eg Nethack to mobile phones? I've been considering to get me a mobile phone for a long time and if it would be possible to play a game like Nethack that would be a killer feature.
There is an "experimental" version of Nethack for Smartphone 2002 (Windows CE based) or PocketPC
Phone available on http://www.nethack.org

Or I could just post the whole thing.

OSS_cost = Commercial_Software_cost - license_fees
You need to differentiate license fees and supports fees. As with commercial product you will pay both license fees to use the product and additional support fees to solve problems that occur using the product. While using OSS
you don't pay license fees but you
will still pay for support. I think supports fees are comparable in both cases.
"calculated 2 years ago"? Didn't Bremmerman calculated theoretical limit of computation speed back in the sixties?
A gram of matter might compute 10^^47 bits per second. If the earth were a solid computer for
all its known history, it could have computed a total of 10^^73 bits. If the universe were a computer it could have computed about 10^^100 bits.

All they need is Nethack. Besides, they can continue to play it in college (almost every computer lab has it).
