  1. I would not pass on a chance to see the exam... on 200 Students Admit Cheating After Professor's Online Rant · · Score: 1

His statistics show the people who had been performing poorly through the entire semester and all of the sudden score high. As someone who consistently scored high in college, making the Deans list, scoring mostly As with a few Bs. If I were presented with the testing materials in advance, I would not pass on the opportunity to see the exam before I took it. I would also not admit to seeing it unless it changed my average as compared to the other exams I had already taken. Scoring 5% higher than average will not raise any red flags. It is the people who score 10%+ higher on a mid-term exam that raises red flags. Also, this guy getting ready to cry about people cheating on his exam is lame. Dude is too lazy to make his own exam and is surprised (and offended) when people got the test questions from the same source as he did. The teachers that lecture on what they think is important, but give the standard test that doesn't cover what they think is important suck as teachers (me speaking as a student). In those classes, you have to ignore everything the teacher says and just read the book if you want to do well. This guy has 20 years of experience of teaching what he wants and presenting his students with standardized exams. I am glad this happened, now he can test on what he teaches as opposed to testing on material that he forgot to cover. It will make him a better teacher and his class a better class to take.

I used to do network security for a chemical company here in Houston. We busted one of our employees for using stolen credit card numbers. He was accessing IRC groups that traded the numbers and he had actually purchased stuff using the credit cards and had it shipped to his house as well as to the office. Another employee reported him and we started monitoring, two days later, we called the FBI and they came and arrested him.

How did genetic mutation in humans 50,000 years ago make us more artistic? Does he have DNA from 50,000 years ago? I took art history and the earliest human remains have been dated to 28,000 years ago. Is he saying that there were artistic monkeys 50,000 years ago? Once again, I am sure we would have covered the monkey cave paintings in my Art History class. I think his theory has more holes in it than Evolution.

I don't see what the big deal is... Don't people in Australia get like 6 weeks of vacation guaranteed by the government there? Even people who work at McDonalds have to get 6 weeks of paid vacation. Then, on top of that they have like 15 holidays where they take a day off of work. They could just create another national holiday and call it Matrix Day. Every year the W brothers get to shut down the city for one day of filming for the next Matrix. The citizens would all wish each other Happy Matrix Day :-)
