The law states that a telemarketer or an advertisement gency cannot contact you if it will result in costing you money. For that very reason you do not see spam coming out of your fax machine. Since cell phone usage ends up wasting your minutes, if a telemarketer contacts you on that they are breaking the law. You can sue the immediately.
Another thought. Most phone services allow first incoming minute free. Thus you can hang up on them without any cost to you.
There are cameras that youc an buy in wallmart or Toys-R-Us stores for even cheaper then that. J-cam I believe is the name and you can get them for 10 bucks. Stores 6 images. They look like crap, a little bulky, but they work, take some shitty pictures, but for a 12 year old I am sure you can live without high resolution. If you are any good with a screw drivers and a sodering iron, you can take it out of its case, and make a much smaller version, wire it up and you got yourself a mcuh smaller camera then the original. Much beter then this $100+ crap.
My bet is that within days after they start implementing thsi crap, someone is going to write some script that will alter the unique number, or scramble it, or remove it or whatever rendering the whole scheme useless.
The huge encryption of DVDs is decoded, compressed, and encoded again into divx format within 4 hours on a fast machine, ready for distribution. So waht was the point of the whole encryption?
Gentlemen, look at the bright side of this. A couple of dozen programers were employed writing this software. Who cares that the end result is useless. They are already paid and gone. In the end it was the record lables that get ripped off paying for labor.
