First the author cites the Mindcraft study which speaks volumes about his credibility. A little later he quotes a MS employee who claims that linux does not support multiple processors. Now correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the linux boxes used by Mindcraft have more than one cpu?
In fact, one of the most useful tools for administering an NT network is a Linux box with Samba and tcpdump.
Exactly! Any time I need to do any kind of scripting on an NT box at work I just smbmount it on my linux workstation and write a perl or shell script =)
