whew, i can't even use google maps anymore, it doesn't fit on my fujitsu p1510 screen with that crazy right hand change!!!
now i have to physically move the browser off the screen to the left, just to see the map.
what are they thinking? i can't be the only one with this problem...any comments??
The basic problem appears to be a "collective hysteria" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_hysteria) regarding some future (probably impossible) mars mission. Who cares about mars? There are no practical benefits of "going to mars". It's a propaganda machine. An amalgamation of fabrications, in similar fashion to the weapons of mass deception (WMDs).
Clearly, from the recent robotic missions, it is clear that THERE IS NOTHING THERE. Why is our government going to spend all available budget in a nonrealistic effort to travel to a completely worthless, lifeless planet?
The answer is: lobbyists.
Lets get the money (why not).
Anybody with half a brain would spend their (very big) money developing new methods for advanced launch vehicles (e.g. spaceship one, space elevator) and launch new telescopes with orders-of-magnitude improvements over the Hubble (which IMHO has added 1000000x more to our knowledge than any stupid moon or mars mission). Let's resolve planets, understand the origins of the universe, measure event horizons, see the cosmos...
But, unfortunately, we are now living with a government that has no common sense, or scientific sense.
Maybe we should just have "faith based missions" to determine the acual, real and undeniable email address of the "intelligent designer". I don't have a problem with retiring the Hubble, but what bothers me is the lack of vision regarding the potential of high resolution replacments for the venerable Hubble. 100, 200, 300, 400, 500...(who knows?), billion dollars for war in Iraq, and umm.... 15 billion for NASA. It is clear what the (foolhardy) priorities are.
I hope I outlive this bizarre low point in the cycle of humanity.
I believe Mr. Andy Moore is totally wrong. Intel's chips may have reached their end of life,
but other companies like Transmeta and IBM are successfully pioneering new chip technologies that will continue to increase transistor number, if not density.

if you think this is bad, just wait another year or so.
you will see incredible restrictions on all forms of internet communication. the internet is just too dangerous for big business' bottom line.
they will do anything to control the user, including buying control of the judicial system, which is now in progress. just look at the records of the current judical nominees... and attorney general...

i don't think you know what you're talking about. or if you do, you are just speculating. millions of tablet pc's will be sold, with a large share of crusoe chips. also, the transmeta will surely be slower... so what. it's not about speed. i tell you what. i bet my fujitsu lifebook 2000 is a lot faster than your dead battery:)
a.p.
microsoft needs transmeta.
because transmeta has the ONLY good low-power, customizable processer/chip set. i am a little biased, because i'm typing this on my nearly new fujitsu lifebook 2000 that i love...:)

wow, i'm shocked by the negative comments about the Crusoe. My lab partner and I both have the fujitsu ultralight with transmeta crusoe 5800 processors (same as the sony). i have NO problems with the cpu. i get 4-5 hours using one regular battery. i get 10 hours with the additional extended battery. THERE IS NO FAN. which is critical for us who attend regular meetings. the machine is plenty fast enough. i regularly program, use mathematica (wolfram, inc.), word process, solid model (truespace, caligari.com), create macromedia presentations, play games, do advanced video editing... lots of reasonably processor intensive functions. i have a 30gig HD and 390 meg of ram. of course, it's not as fast as my dual athlon mp1900 desktop, but heck, i can't stuff my dual athlon into a butt-pack! it doesn't appear sluggish at all. in summary, i love my fujitsu/crusoe. it's awesome, and all my friends are completely jealous:)
my question is, how many of you who claim to hate the crusoe 5800 actually have one ??
maybe you are confusing with the older crusoe chips that were not so good.
my 2c, ap.
ps. the fujitsu is only 1500 bucks and it has a built in DVD player and CD burner (yes). i'm not sure why anyone would want the sony, unless they need the camera.
the real problem you are having, is that you are terrible.
total derivative pseudo hardcore metal.
lame. noone is ever going to sign you.
my advise is: listen to some john cage.
or "the boredoms", or "the happy family" or "the birthday party" or "the rolling stones" or "charles mingus" or "the swans" or "the fall" or "cephallic carnage" or "the sonic youth" or "severe torture" or "keiji hano" or "u.s. maple" or "the ex"
or
or
or
else.

well, it's too late anyway. most of the internet video and radio stations i used to listen to are already shut down. It's so sad to see the internet become just another TV...:(

"Laugha whila you can, Monkey Boy!!!"
This is one of the best sci-fi films ever...
Now available on DVD!
It's amazing the film quality and homemade special effects/gadgets...
Enjoy!
