    Problem is that when you talk about extremists like bush it's hard to not use extreme language while describing him and his supporters. So much of his plans only benefit small niches while hurting the rest of the country.

    Since pretty much nothing will change the results of this election. How about we concentrate on how to improve the process of elections. Not on whether or not it is better or worse then before. Look at where we screwed up and improve. Make sure we have fail safes and records in multiple mediums (electronic and voter verified paper trail) as well.

    Actually it is necessary... Using car radiators is by far NOT a new process. Infact up until last year most pc water cooling systems used car radiator and many still do. To keep temperatures low pretty much all of us had to use fans.

    There will always be people against ANY war... There are people for and against any topic no matter how ridculous it seems. The difference is that while tens of thousands may have marched against the afghani war, millions marched against teh iraqi one.

    It's not the number of countries or even what countries so much as the distribution of teh burden. We are pretty much doing everything as we are spending 90% of the money and human capital in Iraq.

    Ugh, voted interesting... First of all he himself is not a multi-billionaire (his wife has lots of controls over her money) but he's a multi-millionaire. More importantly he hasn't spoken out against the dmca. He said he'd examine it...

    Hmm... I might be a bit ignorant about google's business model but um... do they make all of this from ad revenue or something? If so, thats one hell of an accomplisment.

    Your probably right but this is looking at their top performance lines. The pentium-m has an awesome ipc compared to the p4 but i suspect the 1.7 ghz dothan is still slower then a 3.0ghz + intel cpu.

    Ugh.... your confusing processor lines.

    This was true of the Barton 3200 and 3000 which were the only procs anyone can say was a bit behind the p4 at those levels. The athlon64's however usually either equal or exceed p4's in most benchmarks at those ratings.

    The new lower power cpu's (90nm) are all a64's. The AXP's are now a budget line.

    This causes Japan lots of problems with Giant dinosaurs and insects duking it out and destroying Tokyo at the same time.

    thank your for the corrections... last time i checked they weren't buyable (this was a while ago... too long it seems. I guess i forgot about two models of A64's that also utilize dual channel ram (what is it like the 3700+ and 3500+ or something).

    Normally I don't respond to anon. cowards like you but your ignorance about people in general has managed to piss me off.

    Point me to one person who would say a $300 or $200 dollar card is low end. Just because i justified the price somewhat doesn't mean that i actually ever bought a gpu over $150.

    Coke and pepsi don't innovate... The funny thing is that NO one seems to be saying this about processors. Intel and AMD's high ends are close to twice as much (newest athlon fx's costs above 850).

    Yeah... i'm surprised nvidia hasn't released a pci-express chipset for their amd motherboard line. You'd think they'd be the first because they are utilizing it for their graphics cards.

    They are probably talking about the 9700pro and fx5800's. Not exactly last year (in the fx's case) but these cards even crush the last generation of cards easily.

    The 9700pro was much faster then anything nvidia had at the time (at least 40% faster then the 4600) and this new x700 seems to be a LOT faster then that too.

    The new nvidia line this year is also kicking serious buttcheeks (their last line was an utter disaster).

    I don't see your point... they've had their $200 dollar line last year as they had their $500 line ($400 and $300 too). The $100 dollar line still exists and is much faster then last year's too. They just aren't getting much publicity (they didn't last year either). So i don't really see how things have changed.

    A lot of times ATI will use the same GPU on several models with some parts disabled. In some cases it was because of imperfect chips and sometimes not.

    I'm not sure if it's the same in this case as i haven't been following their latest chips but that could easily be possible considering how close the models are.

    Also he meant flashing the bios on the board not the gpu.

    Not really... the competition has actually gotten red hot and both companies are spending a crap load on research. 100's of millions for one chip and the number of transisters are increasing in the gpus far faster then they are in cpu's.

    Add that to the fact that a lot of these boards come with high speed memory a generation or two ahead of your system ram. (GDDR3 at 1ghz).

    I can't believe this was modded up...

    A64 FX's and Opterons support dual channel ddr and have much lower latencies then intel at the same mhz (400mhz ddr X 2). Usually the FX's and Opteron's win the memory bandwidth benchmarks.

    As low power AMD has a line of mobile barton core processors that use as little power as 45 and even 35 watts. They can also be placed in a destop motherboard. The xp2400 35 watt is also under $100. But there is a good chance the pentium-m uses less power but they are only found on certain laptops (can't be bought).

    While i also believe there is a good chance the ps2 won't be out till 2006 or 2007 it's not because of BD-ROM. BD-ROM is going through some development but the version that will go to the PS3 is most likely finished or close to finished. They just need to mass produce like all their other components.

    On top of that... it seems there will be a minuscule (in comparison to modern computers and the upgrade from the ps2) amount of ram on the ps3.

    It should at least have 256mb but last time i heard it was closer to 256 mega-bit.
