I have almost the same setup, NForce2 (A7N8X DLX) and Radeon 9500 also running on gentoo. I recently did a fresh install and used the ATI drivers and it all works perfectly.
What is everyone complaining about, I am using ATIs binary drivers for XFree 4.3 and they are working perfectly for OpenGL rendering, I can play UT2003 easily at insane framerates. I have found nothing wrong with ATIs drivers except that they are close sourced.
Well I have it through TW RoadRunner in Minneapolis and it is
$19.99 per month for first three months (then to 44.95.:(

Installation if you have cable television requires plugging in the modem.
Running linux, the cable company doesn't care.
and I am getting about 250-300 KBps down and about 25-30 KBps up
For this price I get 2 static IPs and they don't block any ports except 80 if it is overused.
Not a bad deal if you ask me.
The thing everyone has to understand, is if you believe and have faith in a religion, then your religion is true and everyone elses is false. To say otherwise, is to say you don't really have faith. You can respect the fact that others will have different beliefs and faiths, but you will always see them as false where they differ from your faith.
