    Exactly. Split California up into a hyper populated blue-state and a low populated Central Valley red state is just a way to give Republicans two more senators and more votes in the Electoral College. It is fine to split up California but it needs to respect the population. Give me a plan for three more Coastal States and a Central Valley State.

    This may be frustrating, but this is really just a temporary problem. The new extension platform will eventually increase the number of maintained extensions by easing development, increase security.

    That is the lamest shit reason. The move to webextensions is going to expand the ecosystem of maintained extensions, as it will allow developers to more easily develop for multiple platforms/browsers.

    Well its this. We were approaching a monoculture in browsers. Firefox's move to Quantum was years in the making. It is a MAJOR overhaul of the browser that took years to pull off. It now competes head to head in performance and features, and offers an alternative with improved privacy. This is good for the web. It is good for freedom. Quantum is getting the press they deserve, IMO

    I use Firefox almost exclusively and I am very happy with it.
    I don't see how this article is relevant to Firefox anyway. Who was going to use firefox on a TV, or toaster IoT anyway?
    THis is Mozilla being smart so they can put more resources into the projects that matte more, including firefox for mobile and desktop.

    What a bunch of idiotic posts. Model results are associated with predicted range of probabilities (eg 80 percent chance of rain). We depend on weather reporting even when they are wrong on occasion. Why? ...because our weather models are pretty good(despite chaos).
