I don't understand why the new G5 processor is constantly benchmarked against the P4 and Xeon processors. The G5 is a 64-bit processor and it damn well better be faster than any 32-bit processor. I would be interested to see benchmarks comparing it to an Opteron or Itaniam2. With the already mediocre results against the 32-bit processors I think that Apple will fall short this winter when Intel breaks 4GHz.
Does this make voice over ip services like vonage illegal? Subscribers can choose a phone number in any area code thus indirectly conceiling their physical location to the person being called. A person could be making the call from next door or from another continent and the person on the receiving end would be none the wiser.
Most spam goes through so many remailers and comes from so many different sources it would be impossible to ever enforce this. The people who should be sued are the companies who advertise. If business dries up for the spammers it would no longer be so profitable for them. This is something that needs to be done on the federal level not the state level.
I'm not sure about AF1 specifically but radio signals from military aircraft affected my garage door opener but it was an older model from the late 70's early 80's. It has now since been replaced with a newer model that has not shown any signs of being affected but such interference.
I think this idea is on the right track. A Biofeedback sensor is a very simple circuit with an amplifier that any first year ee student could build with minor difficulty. It could be used in conjunction with an RF transmitter to communicate muscle movement to a computer. The receiver could be attached to the computer's serial port. The computer, listening on the serial port, would process the signals received and execute certain functions according to the data received. For instance 3 muscle contractions could mean to signal for her husband. This would sound some sort of alarm to notify him. By taking most of the processing away from the wearable unit it allows for both a lighter unit and more expandability. The computer also could be used to execute different procedures. A different muscle contraction could signal the computer to dial a modem for help or even send an email or SMS.
I believe the next corporation to go under will be AOLTimeWarner. There is no doubt that they are already cooking their books. The management is dumping their shares like crazy and some are even resigning. This is definitely the sign of a company in trouble.
This sounds like a great idea but i'm sure there will be some type of encoding that won't allow you to record premium channels or skip commercials. This is just some kind of ploy to trick the consumer into self-limiting what they can record and view.

This sounds like something they will bundle with their new version of Exchange server due out later this year.

> Disconnect from the internet, install IIS, install the patches and then reconnect to the internet.
You don't even need to disconnect. Just install all the security patches and then as a final step install IIS.
Here are some more pictures of this place, including some shots of the inside and of the server racks.
