There could probably exist quite a few reasons such as maybe its a result from a process that happens with the propulsion system. Jets and just about every vehicle on earth has some form of exhuast system.
And why would they come to earth? To study us, possibly? We'd probably do the same thing if we had the capability to move to other planets at a fast rate.
Make the prices cheaper then what it would be to get overcharged for going over your monthly set limit. That way a person wouldn't just have to go over it and use as much as they wish without wasting sum of what they would have payed for in full.

As someone has stated, "it's like VU and Valve has a war between them or somthing."
I personally think colleges should profit off this more, using a bandwidth plan.
