I believe that the addition of Windows being able to run Linux/Unix code will not be directed at the home user market but only be available to the professional/server base giving Microsoft a comeptitive edge in the server market its losing out on by allowing them to run more popular and inherently software applications that may only be available for the Unix/Linux platform...I doubt MS had including Xbill in their next release in mind.

Without regulation, there would be no order. The FCC is in place to help corporations deal with issues that they cannot be trusted to deal with on their own, a la wireless spectrums and licensing certain frequencies... This can't possibly be serious. Although, I do believe I violate FCC regulations with having my case not properly secured as I may be interfering with other radio devices, such as the fileserver next to it.

I've personally taken my Powerbook 17' w/ integrated 802.11g up in a friend of mine's plane (Grumman American) and was able using kismac for 10.3 (OS X) to pick up some faint wireless base stations, nothing strong enough to actually forge a connection. We had to be flying reasonably slow, and low but it did work. I also had a 802.11 connection going to another laptop, but it was in the co-pilot's seat.
Nothing to really worry about. Apple releases a major fix for the new point release they just brought around. Sure it doesn't apply to the older versions, they lacked the features to have bugs in.
I had the same problem when creating my account, All you need to do is back out the information already there, and put it back in yourself. Then it will allow you to use your current account. Also if you use an AMEX card, you cannot put in any spaces or dashes when entering your number of the system will not recgnoize it. With that, you should be able to use your current Apple ID with no problem.
High school, is nothing but a play pen for children in suberbia while their parents are at work. With that said, I'm a high school student, who is part of an Honor Society that revolves around technology. The truth is, there really aren't alot of bright kids in your high school. When the Vice President of this was running, he said he was good for the job becuase he had a network in his own house. When I asked him about it, he said he just bought himself a router from CompUSA and plugged it in, and actually fowarded a couple of ports to his system with his "mad skills". My group of friends, who as I see it are the only people who know something about a computer, end up bringing up interesting ideas, and then have to hear, "We wouldn't be able to carry it on" with a tone of resentment becuase they didn't understand a word that was said. However, it does mean something for collage, and I am even trying to establish a national technology honor society for the high school level. Who knows what will happen.
The linksys Wireless-G Access point or router which is very cheap, sub 150 bucks, can do both 802.11g and 802.11b at the same time, you don't need to shell out extra for the 802.11a feature, just a note to the editor.
I have been boycotting the RIAA for quite some time now. I look down on my friends who buy music in stores, and although I do see that it is necessary for the record industry to make money so they can come up with this music we all know and love. I do not think they should bully people around to get it. **Then again, we all know the money comes right back to us, seeing as there is no way britney spears could really sound like that without the help 20 well skilled engineers.**
The Microsoft licensing agreement for windows XP says that you cannot use other remote desktop sharing unless it's the one built into windows, and if you are looking for security, you better off just giving someone your information and saving them 5 minutes of work.

I've been waiting a while to tell my high school chemistry teacher that a Kilo is 1024 of anything, and I do deserve that A. ~JM
