The Model T sold for $825 in 1908 when it was first sold to the public.
The Model T sold for $575 in 1912. According to Forbes magazine: "When it sold for $575 in 1912, the Model T for the first time cost less than the prevailing average annual wage in the United States." (link)
Using the CPI:
$825 in 1908 would cost $16327.82 in 2005
$575 in 1912 would cost $11383.77 in 2005

The buying power of the average American family is much greater than it is today. There is no real good way to bring the price of the Model T into "2005 Dollars", but $32000 is probably really close.
The same thing happened with.org domains a while ago. I was suprised a few weeks ago when I created a.org domain name, and within minutes I could use it.
This DOES NOT speed up DNS changes, but it speeds up the initial creation and modification of domain records - a new domain, or change of a primary/secondary DNS server.
Actually, there is a mention of slashdotting the site now in the TOS.

At Virginia Tech, we have a 802.11b wireless network that includes several buildings and the coverage is growing. Only certain degree programs such as Architecture and Engineering require laptop computers. These programs offer courses that require students to interact and use their computers in the classroom. The number of courses is small at the moment but is expected to grow exponentially in the future.

Yeah, I was worried there for a minute. I clicked on the link and one of my websites popped up! Could I be the source of all the world's spam?
