    that style of LED has weird spectrum too (as do other old-school fluorescent type bulbs).

    good enough for everyday use, but it's still not as nice on the eyes as hot metal.

    the problem is LED are made of a weird combo of two bulbs, look at the real spectrum of them, like a unicorn snail or something.....

    bulbs based on hot things have nicer smoother spectrum

    yes I have LED at home, but one halogen for occasional use at my computer workstation for documents is nicer

    Bad grounding will kill an LED bulb. Check out your home's earth ground.

    LED of many brands have worked well for me BUT I know with two relatives they were toasting early and often because of bad ground (which caused other problems too)

    I've never seen a restaurant with a robotic burger maker yet. All talk and demos. You'd think the cold cut sandwhich places would have robots, it's sooo much easier for a bot...but, people still do it.

    we use the microsoft outhouse at work but my email doesn't take that much time. rules sort the spew I *might* or *wont* need to look at into folders. only important sender's stuff remains.

    You don't know much history, "Puritans" weren't a denomination just a blanket term. they're still around in the USA, didn't go away at all. I'd argue they're holding power right now.

    paper solves nothing. I'd even argue it's easier to tamper with a paper ballot system than a well designed electronic one.

    paper with holes in it are easy to make, and easy to switch right under people's noses.

    No it was Orwell's Animal Farm as I said. And it was *temporary* because of fault of upstream provider.

    One time from 48.5 million ebooks available on kindle. 9 years ago.

    yeah that has any thinking person shaking in their boots.

    I'll even say that right now my kindle is more useful than any open source device for reading books.
