am glad that NASA doing this. It raises the space awareness of all of us. Without the space program most of us wouldn't have jobs. Computers were instramental in the space program.
that he was required to take the database off line. All that was required was to cease from using logos and a format that was possibly confusing to the general public. The C&D letter was very polite and offered the possibilty of solution that is to everyone's benefit. C'mon read the article next time.
Let's not confuse testing with debugging. Debugging occurs when a program does not function as planned, whether an error is thrown or a bug is found by a testor or client. In a ideal situation all bugs are located and corrected during the testing cycle of the development process. However, testing is an expensive and time consuming process and a great number of companies settle for finding the big and obvious problems.
As much a I hate to admit it the WMA format is better than MP3. Until Sonic Blue adds ogg decoding to the RioVolt 250 (are you listening Sonic Blue, it's just a flash rom upgrade) it might be just the ticket.
NOT! If you'll examine the photos again you will see
that the styrofoam cup is used as a funnel and what appears to be duct tape is fiberglass insulation around a copper vessel.
Borland already does this! Just try to get a Delphi 1 App to compile under Delphi 6. Or for that matter a D5 app to compile under D6. Some of the problems are simple syntax others are changes in the philosophy of the language. For change to happen little used/un-usefull/klugey features MUST fall by the wayside, that's progress.
JAVA is not C++ nor was it ever intended to be. Does it need cleaned up? Yes. Does it need new/more features? Yes. But, then again what language doesn't. JAVA does what it does quite well, allows code to run many different platforms. All the user needs is a Java Run Time module and the code will work.
Maybe not during the build, but what about the security holes in Word? If you have an office full of MS Office Automation stuff and then disable the ability to run VBA code in Office what's the point? I'll stick with Open Source, the few holes there are get plugged much faster than with shrink wrapped software.

What if I made my own mp3's from my own original material and choose to distribute them via p2p? This must be a hoax. The leagal are much to many.

Why not build your own rack out of a couple of 2x4's?
