So what happens when you get a huge tumor on your wrist from having a cell phone strapped to it 24/7? Or do we "not go there" with the whole cancer from cell phones thing anymore.
For instance, I got my CCNA in 1999, I now work for a library and take care of 7 branches of computers and networks as a systems admin. My CCNA has now expired, and I know if I renew it, the most I will get is "Oh, thats nice" from the boss. Should I still look into keeping it updated, or does it stand as proof enough that I have received it, and do know what i'm doing. (and no i didn't take a "pump our the certs" course, i tought myself the CCNA and really learned the info not just memorized) The only reason I would really want to renew is so that I could take some of the security certs from cissco that look intersing... any thoughts?
Most of the sites on the net have ads pop up and fly across the screen already. I don't see what the difference is.
I used to pay for cable tv and i still had to watch commercials. Right now i'm paying for an ISP and i still have to see ads on websites. No matter what medium you choose to use, they will all have some form of advertisements.
Let me as you this, do you have to pay anyone to turn on a small pocket TV and receive programming in most areas of good reception? Do you have to pay a provider to turn on a radio and listen to music or talk radio?
I would just like the internet to be as easily accessible as these mediums, thats all.
I guess it's just wishful thinking.
I didn't read the article yet, but I'm guessing this isn't going to be an open/free network.
I can't wait till the day when you don't have to worry about where you can get on the internet. It's going to be nice to just be able to pull my handheld computer out of my pocket and get online anywhere and any time right over the airwaves for free.
I know it would make my life a lot easier. Plus there is the cool factor of just knowing you can jump online at any time from anywhere.
I guess this would be "WAPs Across America" (for those linksys WAP11 users)
