Seaquest, Disney, MGM Grand. Did these guys not know about these previous applications or are they hoping nobody remembers?

I guess I'm not the only one. I should have read on further before posting my own Seaquest comment. They really do need to give credit where it's due though.

Am I the only one who remembers this exact same thinge on seaQuest DSV. The show sucked and all but give credit where it's due.

  4. Diposeable printers. on Color Printing Without the Inkjet Mess? · · Score: 1

I have a friend who just grabs an inkjet printer whenever they are super cheap ($50 - $70) and stores it away. When his current printer dries up he donates it for a tax write-off and cracks open a new box. He says he has consistently been saving money doing it this way.

I was reading The Onion before switching over to Slashdot and I honestly read through this article thinking it was a spoof.

Oh well, truth can indeed be funnier than satire.

  6. eBook experience on Universal Ebook Format Debated · · Score: 1
I bought one eBook in my life, and it will be the last. It was a pre-release of Scott Adams' God's Debris. The machine I installed it on needed to be rebuilt before I could read the eBook and I had nothing but trouble trying to get a second installation elsewhere. I eventually just gave up and kissed my 10 bucks goodbye.

I later bought the book in plain analog bio-matter format and I will never trust an encrypted eBook that I can't back up ever again.

    BTW, the book was crap.

I'm sure all the boys in Redmond are especially happy with the backhanded kudos expressed at Slashdot despite there being stated along with the sad times disclaimer.

    Sheesh!

Is it any wonder I spend waaaayy more time on FARK.com than I do here any more.
