I think that rammstein.com looks pretty damn good, and that's almost XHTML 1.0 strict. The only flash used is optional and for audio. Stylesheets are used for layouts, and alternate stylesheets are provided.
Slight correction/clarification - Sky One is the channel. Sky One is carried by NTL and Sky. It's probably carried by other providers, but I don't know anyone who uses them. Sky (or, more correctly, BSkyB) is the company who A) Provides satellite TV, and B) Owns the Sky channels.
(I only get BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and Channel 4, and hardly watch any of those anyway, so I could be wrong on this.)
Both Mac and Linux ports are done by John Knottenbelt (a member of IV). The Mac demo is his priority at the moment.

Darwinia Demo Released

You want screenshots? OK. Yeah, I know, the bottom-right corner version info isn't to the same quality of evidence as a GPG signature is, but I can't really get any better. Ignore the "STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL"; that only applies to the phase 2 beta.
Also see the phase 2 beta tester list for my nick, and note that I registered my account here before Darwinia was announced, and that e-mail and home page matches up.
Anyway, you can see the magazine and web coverage they've been getting - which includes info on the game - at their site (well, you will be able to when everyone stops downloading the demo - it's been hammered since yesterday when it was released).
For those of you who have no idea WTF's going on in the game, TheNextGame has a useful guide about how to play it. It's based on an older beta, but the basics are the same with the demo, most changes are just aesthetic.

Does Linux Have Game?

I seriously hope this is a troll, but I'll bite anyway.
Yes. It means you have to have your library of CDs close to hand (annoying when you want to, say, play Deus Ex for the first time in years), have to put the CD in the drive and take it out all the time (risk of scratching, or otherwise damaging it). In addition to that there's just no good reason for CD checks to be there and they often cause problems (doesn't work with some CD drives, slows down starting up the game, etc), so why not remove it?
I'm not sure I'm following you here. You say "You might as well just buy the full game if you're going to go through the process of getting a steam account and a verification just for a demo.", but I'd imagine most people interested in this would already have Steam accounts for Half-Life 1, or to preload HL2.
The point of the Netscape feedback util (ARGH MOTIF) is that it appears when you crash, rather than causing a crash, so you can submit feedback about the crash.

That doesn't help you when you're behind NAT, as many people are.
Really? I've only ever had crappy music when on hold (AMD, NTL, Pearson VUE (the people who do the car theory tests in the UK), etc).
I've not seen any official announcements, but he's off the editor list (logged in users only).

Bah, damn them *shakes fist*.

I assumed it was visible due to the fact that it's linked to from the credits page.

(Yes, I know, IHBT, IHL, IWTTHAND.)

I'm pretty sure it'll exist...
Introversion Software wrote Uplink. Ambrosia published the Mac port. The same is true of Darwinia.
*cough*

That's not slashdot. It's been this way since yesterday. Makes filing/checking bug reports pretty hard.

RTFA.
You can't ctrl+c/ctrl+v in cmd.exe or command.com either.
5 years ago, the latest version of Windows was Windows 2000. That's hardly running on top of DOS.
I'm sure you'll find all the ISPs who have to spend so much money on spam have at least some money.

This article, maybe?
That sequence also works for me; no crash (sorry I can't record this one, you'll have to trust me on it).
Works for me...
Am I misunderstanding something?
