    To be honest the bug title would have to be "write user documentation". What is published at https://help.libreoffice.org/ is a bad joke. Just yesterday I was looking up how to set font size of equation and arrived to this page that starts with helpful "Use this dialog to specify the âfont sizes for your formula. ". I have to admit that there is *some* useful information however it is missing the crucial details such as screenshot of the dialog, or any description how to arrive to that dialog.

    So what I'm saying is that it's not a occasional glitch that needs fixing. I'm saying that this part of the product is mostly not there. That also rules out an individual scratching the itch because the whole thing would lack any consistency.

    No, you are not alone. Interestingly the sentence came from the article itself - written by Reuters. I though Reuters was one of the places where you could find real journalists. So ... you could say that /. reached the quality of Reuters which is undoubtedly a great achievement.

    Yes, labeling someone as "denier" is shutting down the discussion and is not productive. Unless ... you know ... when you indeed deny the facts presented to you that show that your opinion is wrong. In such case you actually are a denier and removing you from the discussion does not harm the progress.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but the company may get sued anytime for any reason and there will still be lawsuit that causes bad publicity, time wasted at court and lawyer costs even if they win. Does it matter whether it is because of this particular batch of peanut butter?

    Are you saying that the java classes in .jar are compiled differently for 32 and 64-bit JVM? Bollocks. But yes, the idea of platform independence can be torpedoed by a well aimed .dll hidden in the .jar. Blame the vendor.

    Why do you see enemies in one of our largest trading partner? ... Oh, Russia? Yeah, that old cold war mentality isn't quite gone... sigh.

    Yet, Russia attacks a country through which it delivers the majority of the gas to Europe. I too though that the cold war mentality is a thing of past. But events from last month made me think again.

    Actually I do not know what it is trying to achieve, but "unregulated" and "not backed up by anything" are certainly not what I am after.

    On the other hand "anonymous" and "instant" transactions "without a fee" - are nice things to have in a currency system. That is the thing people seek. They could not care less about regulation or trust.

    P.S.: Bitcoin may not provide those goals, but it is advertised that way or at least understood that way by unwashed masses.

    Additionally, the Budapest Memorandum is more of a diplomatic "gentleman's agreement"; it is not a treaty confirmed by the Senate. When it comes right down to it, it doesn't seem to me that the US is obligated to do squat. Sorry Ukraine!

    Now if they happened to have oil or gas ... that would put things in completely different light.

    But I'm glad to have it black on white how much is gentleman's agreement worth to USA.

    The fact is that Dems. and Reps. *both* are very sensitive to opinion polls.

    The problem *is* We the people.

    The problem is that in order for democracy to work, the public has to be educated, informed and act rationally. The current system does not really make an educated society a high priority goal and it absolutely works hard against informed and rational decision making at poll booth.

    I managed to find this: the PayPal page refers to Association pour la Garantie des Depots Luxembourg - which in Law of 10 November 2009 Article 1, paragraph 29 says:

    (Law of 20 May 2011)
    "electronic money" means a monetary value represented by a claim on the issuer, which is:
    (i) electronically, including magnetically, stored, and
    (ii) issued on receipt of funds for the purpose of making payment transactions, and
    (iii) accepted by a natural or legal person other than the electronic money issuer;

    Can someone translate that to English, please?

    Paypal is a bank... but actually, according to their website, don't qualify for deposit protection anyway,

    The link says:
    Since the service provided by PayPal Europe is limited to E-money, which does not qualify as a deposit or an investment service in the sense of the Law, customers of PayPal Europe are not protected by the Luxembourg deposit guarantee schemes

    What is "e-money"? My employer does a wire transfer to deposit my salary on my account in the bank. Is that not e-money?

    In last decades military forces of USA entered various countries in order to "protect interests of USA" in the said territory. It was openly said many times. It was not based on resolution of UN or for humanitarian purposes. It was to "protect interests of USA". Economic, political and other interests. And the world quietly watched that, not daring to speak up.

    And now the world is surprised that Russia uses the same excuse.
