Somebody please mod this crap down where it belongs... Just because I play GTA3 doesn't mean I'm going to yank a cop of of his car and go wreck the city. Jesus. There's a life outside of your window pal, go check it out.

And just because I yank cops out of cars and wreck cities doesn't mean I'm gonna go buy a Playstation 2 or anything crazy like that......
  2. Re:Really now... on Carmack Expounds on Doom III · · Score: 1

You're talking about this move as if Carmack decided to scrap the PC version of the game in favor of X-Box...... I knew that I would essentially need to buy/build a computer in order to play Doom 3 on the PC in high quality, but if the game is available on X-Box, then I could save myself nearly $2000 I don't see what's so bad about people like myself having the ability to play Doom III without having to pay a shitload of money to completely overhaul their systems or buy a brand new box.... And I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the game on X-Box outsold the PC version........Console games sell better 90% of the time...... Also, you might know a ton of people with PC's, but how many of them play games? Now how many of those people play first person shooters? Now how many of them have a computer that could handle Doom III at a decent framerate? Everyone who buys a console is a gamer, but not everyone who buys a PC is one.......and system requirements are a non-issue to console gamers, which is a big plus for many people (myself included) Why should Carmack be criticized for doing something that will allow his game to be played by at least a million more people than it would've reached just on the PC?

I doubt it'll be able to handle it - I'd imagine it'd have to be severely trimmed down
