I moved off windows in 1997 when a virus ate my master's thesis. AV vendor was no help. MS was no help. Basically nobody could help me. I had to retype 130+ pages from old printouts.
I have yet to have a single problem on Linux, since I moved in 1997.
No issuues with malware of any kind. Its been close to 7 years now.
All my windows using friends have constant problems with malware - even several of the MCSE sys-admins have such problems.
Why should I ever come back to windows?

I concur. I think if folks actually try some of the newer java apps out there they'll be surprised how light and fast they can be.
One of my favs is Quarbon - which runs great on linux, BTW. This app allows you to make a flash presentation out of your screenshots and mouse clicks. In action using it resembles powerpoint - but its too cool for words!
Or, as the old saying goes, make it possible to program computers in English, and you'll find that most programmers can't write English.
Or maybe most of what people say does not compute?

Microshaft may never _love_ el tuxo but they certainly love money. If the money is with Linux - they will go there. Or am I smokin too much W33d?
I've made a copy of the lists and converted the lists into HTML. THanks OOo!
This should make it somewhat easier for someone to look at - but its still 750+ K (its a huge list).
My question specifically reads _THROUGH_THE_CFC_.
If I wanted to know about other ways of donating - I would have asked that question.
I want to be able to tell other feds what OSS supporting organizations they can easily choose to contribute to within the CFC.
The whole point of the question is;
Do any of them fight software patents or otherwise support OSS?
Don't say use paypal and call that an answer; it simply isn't.
