Further for many, it is only the fear of the opposition party (dem/rep) that prevents them from voting with their consience as it stands. If I thought a Bull moose reunion tour likely, I would be even more likely to vote libertarian. As it stands, I tend to vote for integrity vs voting for positions although where someone stands does have influence with me. I would vote dean or lieberman or mcain or bradley over bush or gore or kerry.
although certain stands(Constitution party belief that we ought to be a capital C christian nation) frighten me even though as a Christian I believe those values are important I do not believe they should be backed by the force of law. for example Homosexual Unions, If we were to strike every states "marriage code" and replace it with a civil union code allowing any combination or number of adults as defined by state law to enter into inheritance and child raising covenants binding under state law but not to be refered to as marriage, I would back that 100%. but IMO marriage is a word historically defined as a bisexual bipartner relationship.
Which "only?" means more money in 08 and possibly a seat at the 08 debates... something perot would have earned 12 years ago if he hadn't taken a 3 month vacation from the race.
I believe that within both parties is at least a plurality and possibly a majority that wants to select other than the evil of two lessers. Given that Most of Badnariks votes will come from undecideds, burnouts and others not interested in kerry and only slightly less disinterested in bush, personally I like bush, but as a small l libertarian, I would like to see MUCH smaller government and IMO we(the US) are due for one of the two parties to die. which dies depends on whether the green, libertarian or reform party is that new party. If he appeared(since he won't be appearing) credible I think we could see turnouts approaching 50% of eligible registered voters. All he needs is ~20% of voters to like him and turn out.
It wouldn't necessarily have been worse for bush. IF Badnarik had been successful in the debate, AND in the general election, it is possible he would have gained enough votes to take electors, and putting the election before the House where the Republicans are likely to be in control again this year... Win-win IMO.
Also remember that Seperation of Church and State was to keep the State out of the Church, not the other way around.
The profound ignorance of the above statement boggles the mind.
Third ammendment relevant portion
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
This clearly addresses both Organized church involvement in state Respecting an establishment ie The church or xyz is the official religion of this nation and all citizens must be members or not be citizens AND state involvement in church prohibiting free exercise thereof the church of satan is verboten any members of this church shall be jailed and their citizenship revoked...
this ammendment clearly recognizes and addresses both the abuses of the medieval Roman church and the medieval English church and states that they shall not formally go to bed together regardless of which one gets to be on top.
After haveing positive experiences with nondelivery of items(money refunded within a week) ANYTHING I sell via Ebay gets sent UPS. No exceptions!! I'm sure I lose some buyers due to this, but it's worth it to know that anything sent is fully traceable and including the equivalent tracking options with USPS ends up costing more ANYWAY.
Most gas-stations do this. they put a pending/hold/etc for $50-100 when you insert your card for "pay-at-pump" and then when you complete the transaction they either put your actual charge against the hold or add an additional charge and you have to wait for the hold to expire. usually 7-10 BUSINESS days.
I do not dispute that religon is based on myth, the question is: is it true myth or false myth?
Definition 1 from dictionary.com 1.
1. A traditional, typically ancient story dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serves as a fundamental type in the worldview of a people, as by explaining aspects of the natural world or delineating the psychology, customs, or ideals of society
I have also proposed creating the Presidential Math and Science Scholars Fund to provide $100 million in grants to lowincome students who study math or science. This will ensure that America's graduates have the training they need to compete for the best jobs of the 21st century.
That 97% is lab environment equivalent using 28-40 year old married couples. There are no lab style studies using younger single individuals because such individuals choose not to participate for whatever reasoning.
Yes, but it isn't illegal for the postman to go through his bag and read your postcards, only once it is placed into the mailbox is the expectation of privacy renewed.
IMO the WHO is irresponsible by suggesting anything other than abstinence to stop the spread of this "pandemic" which isn't since pandemic means global and affecting all which would require over a 10fold increase in persons affected. It isn't an epidemic anywhere but those places where individuals with HIV continue to practice promiscuous sexual activity.
Using a condom just isn't good enough. a 1 in 10 chance of failure and you would stop using your car, your OS, or your security system, but people continue to use condoms for other than birth control and that is just plain foolish.
a 1in6 chance of death is called russian Roulette and a 1 in 10 is called "safe sex".
IN a crisis with an out of control car. slowing and stopping the car and saving ME takes precedence over saving "the car". in fact if it is a crisis, out of control car, destroying the car is job one.
as I understand it, all ABS does is ensure that if the wheels are stopped and the car is moving that the wheels turn briefly for control purposes. so if the wheels aren't "locked" ABS won't kick in.
You are incorrect. using a condom REDUCES risk.. by 50-90% depending on how "correct" your technique is. Even using a condom "perfectly" you have a 1 in 10 chance of breakage.
the only way to eliminate risk is to have a mutually monogamous relationship with a person who does not have the virus.
the only thing that prevents the spread of HIV is not having bodily fluid contact with an infected person and Condoms don't absolutely prevent that. they reduce risk by 50-90% depending on a wide variety of factors, but they don't PREVENT the spread of AIDS.
So don't have promiscuous unprotected sex. Why do you think in the US and other industrialized nations HIV is such a small(but scary) cause of death. Treatment to extend life, understanding that HIV is not curable and thusly with the exception of some really sick people, individuals who are aware of being HIV positive don't go around molesting virgins in the belief that it will miraculously cure their disease.
HIV isn't airborne, or salivaborne. you must have blood to blood or sexual contact to pass it.
Outside of the developing/third/non-industrialized world. people with HIV don't go around trying to pass it on.
If it is a postcard, they can and do. intent is key. they cannot open an unsealed envelope and read the contents the envelope speaks to intent under the law. But a postcard states that you don't care who reads it. If e-mail worked the same way "do-not-read" might be viable, but it doesn't so if you don't want your mail read, stick it in an envelope and if you don't want your e-mail read encrypt it. even rot-13 or mirroring or a simple reverse is sufficient to make intent clear... Of course you still have to find out it was read in order to act,
Here is an example I found this past weekWinEQ/EQPlaynice which fails to answer the question why do I now have to pay for features that were free a month ago, and which appear to be enabled until you attempt to use them.
yes, any encryption like rot13 is comparable to an envelope and demonstrates intent. ease of contravention is irrelavent making it "non-trivial" to access should be sufficient.

The only reason F9/11 isn't on the airwaves is that MM thinks he's got a shot at an oscar and doesn't want to disqualify himself.
If he really thought the message needed to get out he would give up the oscar. There is your hypocrisy.

Note no judgement on veracity of the story.
Here Bush answered TFQ right here

Trust me I don't offend easily... I like to think I have a thick skin.. and as a Conservative/Christian on slashdot... I need to. :)
I know there are sick people out there trying to revenge themselves by passing on HIV, but fortunately in our society they are a minority.

Yes, like I said, with the exception of some sick(mentally) people HIV infected people don't try to pass it on.

Guess what the WHO agrees.
The consistent and correct use of condoms significantly reduces the risk of HIV and other STIs;

Yes, Perhaps that has to do with the method of creation. Usenet faqs are created by users for users, WebFAQs are created by Marketroids for lUsers.

Base the FAQ on actual questions that have been asked, don't make it a propaganda document that leaves more questions than it answers.
