That DVD does have english, japanese, and french subtitles, and japanese and french audio.

...or you can just rip the vobs, and watch them in a software DVD player complete with subs.
If you can rip and convert it to divx, you can rip the vobs, make them region-free and macrovision free, and watch them in any software DVD player, and even Windoze Media Player if you have the MPEG-2 decoder installed (any DVD player will do that.)
Smartripper is an excellent freeware program for ripping the vobs, and I recommend WinDVD for DVD playback, or PowerDVD is okay...
In any case, you sound like you have no idea what you're doing:D
