I don't think everything needs to be XML, but I do wish programs would start to adopt a standard of using ~/.configs/ rather than just slapping a .hiddenfile in your home directory. Even though you generally don't see the files with ls or a GUI, I still concider this to be home directory clutter. The more things are seperated and organized the better.

I have 3 computers, all of which I built myself. I don't believe I ever complained about a manufacturer *I* had ever bought from, nor did I EVER say I owned a pre-built system.

That would never happen...ever.. ever. First off it would put both sides on an equal playing field, the country which is stronger would never agree to this. But the biggest and most obvious problem is that if you won the virtual war, how do you enforce this? You are back to the original problem, you are not going to just magically make people see it your way. The whole reason war exists is because 2 sides a differenec of opinion (to put it mildly) so they try to kill all the people that think otherwise, therefor eliminating any problem. Or actually just killing enough so that the other side knows that they can no longer come out alive and they surrender to keep their lives.

But yeah, no virtual war would have convinced saddam to just let the US take control over his land and remove his government so that we could search for weapons and put other people in power.

I would never buy an emachine. I love AMD and all, but back when I was in high school my school bought several hundred emachines and about 35% of them were DOA due to faulty power supplies. You would think with a percentage that high emachines would be aware of this problem, yet they were selling them anyway. Pretty bad business if you ask me.

wow dude, what kind of messed up parent are you? Your kid is going to grow up with some serious repression issues and want to kill things. I guess killing things is better than piracy to you though, isn't it?

(just so I don't get flamed I am half joking here.... or am I?)
