    slippery slope arguments are lame. You've got to argue what I'm saying now is itself a problem to make me worry.

    I think incitement is a real issue and that we should take it seriously.

    Washington DC? They don't even have Senators or a voting House member. It's the people that the rest of the country send to DC.

    Think of it as being like saying that a mafioso has a first amendment right to order hits, so long as he doesn't actually pull the trigger. Not all speech is innocent. Hate speech can cause real harm. I have no issue with it being banned.

    I drop my mac and iPhones and they survive. I drop my HP and androids and they fall apart. seems like the problem isn't me but crappy cases.

    I've only installed OS X once since 2000 (including new machines that actually just copy over the instance). Why would I have to reinstall Windows after just 18 months?

    I was about to say that my inexpensive HP laser printer is great, but I just looked and it is actually a Brother printer.

    We're talking about an 8 year old Mac book (not pro) vs a 18 month old HP, so I would think that there is an advantage for the HP here.

    Faster and more responsive? My 1.5 year old Windows computer grinds to a halt for about 15 min after losing a wired connection. I cannot fathom why this is. We're talking about me typing and watching the letters appear on the screen with about 5 seconds delay between letters--along with frequent 30 second breaks where no screen refresh will happen.

    My 8 year old mac book sometimes slows down for 3-5 seconds. It also has a basically intact case while the 1.5 year old HP has several chunks taken out of it by falls that I inflict on my machines. The Mac just keep coming back. The HP falls apart.

    with a cap and trade you set the quantity. Morons want it to hurt (aka for the credits to be expensive) for some reason. This would actually spell the end of the system. We do not have cap and trade on e.g. CO2. It would go a long way.

    You still haven't said why I would care that, "SOMEONE GETS PAID TO PERMIT SOMEONE ELSE TO POLLUTE." I'm fine with that so long as we can control the solution--that's the point. I don't appreciate being called an idiot. Demi absolutely want to decrease pollution. They are the ones defending the EPA, Bill Clinton begged for a "BTU tax" and never got it.

    That fact that there is cheating doesn't mean the tax isn't working. If I make it more of a pain in the ass I've also succeeded.

    Education ma work, depending on the thing. Like I can't much educate people about how tuna is disappearing when someone else will just eat the last ones.

    Your quaint 1700s era anti-trade sentiment is part of why Democrats didn't agree to cap and trade in the first place--and now we have nothing. NOTHING. Congratufuckinglations. With cap and trade you limit solution. Without it you don't. Who the fuck cares that people trade something? WHY DOES THAT MATTER? Sorry, I'm really upset that my planet is burning because of this notion.

    then you need to make more insulation. I looked at having my insulation increased in about a $5,000 deal. It would save me about $200/year. Probably making the insulation creates more polution than the energy wasted because I don't have it.
