StarLifter-scale aircraft drop a spread of 30 small cruise missiles from roughly 300km away Well the B-52H maxxes out at 20 cruise missles (AMG-142), and there were some extreme retrofits to accomodate the new armament. The AGM-142 has a range listed range of 75km, and 30 of them would represent more than 1/3 of the entire stock of the second largest purchase contract for the weapon with a purchase cost of nearly $150million. A far more likely candidate for direct surface ship attack is the AGM-84ER Harpoon missle, which hasnt entered service yet near as I can tell, it has a 150+ nautical mile range, and its standard little brother has a 60+ nautical mile range. NOTHING that can launch such a weapon is going to get that close to a carrier unless the carrier wants it to.

Regardless, American blood was spilled on the beaches of France. American mothers lost their sons, sons lost their fathers, wives lost their husbands. How dare you belittle the sacrifice of those people to liberate your homeland, and allow you the means and freedom to mock them a mere 6 decades later. Do not give the USSR total credit either for the defeat of the Nazi's on the Eastern Front. The Lend-Lease policy is largely considered to be *the* factor in preventing a "Seperate Peace" and providing the Soviets the means to resist the Nazis. You see, America only had to give the USSR the supplies it needed, they actually fought to defend themselves from German rule, unlike the French.

unfortunately, what these morons dont understand, is that at the very least, microsoft and apple have teams of psychologists and experts in human behavior and learning helping design the interfaces. Linux has 3 pimply-faced geeks who, if they wouldn't rather use a command line for almost everything to begin with, almost certainly do not consider a terminal window to be something that MUST be avoided at all costs.
