That's silly. Aside from the most general encyclopedia description of how an engine works, I really don't know much about mechanics. I certainly couldn't change a timing belt, or chain, or whatever my car has. What I do know is how it normally sounds and feels, and I know the periodic service schedule. So I take it in when the schedule says to, and I take it in if something goes wonky. That's a totally valid approach.
Some people are really interested in cars, which is great, because they can become auto mechanics, and charge me to service my car when it needs it. Some people view cars as little more than transportation devices, which is great, because that frees up their time to become good at something else, for example, setting up and installing POS systems and getting paid for it, perhaps even by the mechanic who services the POS expert's car.
To be really good at somethings takes years of practice. Fact is, one person cannot be good at all things. And people who think they are good at everything, tend to be walking disaster areas.
The Obama administration also claims the right to simply call any US citizen a terrorist and assassinate him or her. No need for evidence, trials, or convictions. Just the say-so of some shadowy group or person. Now there's some change.

Sorry to post to myself, but I was not terribly clear when I said beer and whiskey are the same -- they start out the same with respect to the starch conversion of grain, but naturally, whiskey is also distilled after the wort is fermented (wort is the sweet liquid obtained from the mashing process).
The originating mash is discarded with whiskey; with the beer it is not.
Totally wrong. The originating mash in beer is discarded just as it is with whiskey. Where beer and whiskey differ is that when making whiskey, people leave out the hops (or who knows, maybe there is hoppy whiskey now).
Here's how you mash grains for beer (mashing refers to the enzymatic reaction that converts complex starches into fermentable sugars):

I'm thinking if it was legalized, there would be a widening of the price range into lower tiers -- there is some part of the current price structure related to the risk of illegal activity. This illegal activity bonus probably boosts the revenues of otherwise lower-rent prostitutes.
What expectation of privacy? When you're standing in front of a Supermarket where dozens of totally random people can see you sign a petition, even ones personally known to you, to think it is a private act is simply stupid.
Wrong. This is more like a few companies are making fusion powered cars using techniques that are virtually untested in the real world. One car blows up, and destroys everything in a 100 mile radius. The government steps in and says to the other fusion car makers, "hold off a sec till we can evaluate whether you really know how to build these things safely."
The first time I heard about Bebo was what David Motari, brave US Marine psychopath, infamously killed a puppy by throwing it off a cliff. Feral children indeed.
Here's to keeping Motari's name alive in the hope that he never becomes employed and lives a grand life as a deservedly homeless vet flying a sign at random freeway onramps.
The largest problem with the Zino is that it is sold by Dell. Trying to find a real price for anything via its website is like visiting the worst caricature of a used car salesman possible.
It is worth noting that the cheapest dual-core model of the Zino is $499, still cheaper than the Mini, but it also has the trendy-retro-60s-ugliness-fit-for-goodwill type look which the Mini lacks.
If it is quiet and lacks a blinding blue LED on the front, it will appeal to a lot of people who want a media center. Its size will make it appeal to people who want a basic computer that hides away easily. Also, why pick a $1000 monitor? If people are looking for a budget Mac, don't you think they'd buy a $200 monitor? The whole setup with keyboard, mouse, and sales tax is still going to be less than $1100. Last, computers are so fast anymore, that people's experience is limited more by their broadband connection than how fast Firefox starts up (except for gamers of course).
Because the Democratic half of the single party that runs the country ALSO lied, does not relive the Republican half of that same party from their lies.
With free and open government, there is nothing to leak. With dishonest, sneaky, and evil governments, there is much to leak. Whether a government is evil is not defined by the manner in which its leaders are chosen, and the US does not get a pass for evil behavior simply because people can vote.
When you need to do something more advanced, nothing has frustrated me more out of the trio of OS, as much as macs do.
What do you mean by advanced? On a mac, everything is ready and set to learn about BASH scripting, which can be used to do some interesting stuff for example and will certainly introduce certain logic principles to students. There are numerous open source apps that work with X11 through Fink, many of them math or science based. It's easy enough to set up a webserver (check a box in preference) and learn any number of web based languages. Maybe you're thinking of documents -- open office runs natively in OS X now. Seriously, aside from games which take away from study time, what exactly can't they do on a Mac that makes the Mac such a toy?
Remember that these civil lawsuits have a burden of proof called a "preponderance of the evidence", which means the jury needs a confidence level over 50% to go with the studio. That leaves significant room for doubt in the jurors' minds -- they just have think that there is more than a 50% probability he actually was the one who downloaded the movie. Anyone really want to risk their financial future on those odds?
I totally agree that the speed is atrocious. I've been silently wishing it would die for years now, but at only 10-15 checks per day, I can live with its glacial pace till it actually does kick the bucket.
Since everyone is touting their laserprinter experiences, let me just say that an HP Laserjet 4L I bought in grad school in 1994, is currently doing daily duty printing checks for my office (it's easy to find MICR toner for this so I re-purposed it from my home printer to be my check printer 6 years ago). I paid $400 for it way back then, which over the last 16 years averages out to $25/year.
Mental and emotional scarring is much worse. Breaking someone's kneecaps is a physical violation, where as rape is a physical, psychological, and emotional violation.
BS. Breaking someone's kneecaps, making them forever crippled or whatever is just as bad. People who lose their physical capacities often have serious emotional consequences. Rape is the baddest of the bad for societal reasons -- perhaps a father's fear of taking care of an unknown person's child, or having his sexual property taken by another, or any other of the reasons people come up with to demonize sex. Rape is truly more about the violence, but our collective prurient interests make it more about the sex. All that aside, destroying a load bearing joint like the knees could easily be far more devastating -- current science can only do knee replacements twice and they typically only last 10 years. Smash the knee caps of a 20 year old and that person better get used to riding a Rascal Scooter.
Lucky for those people convicted 15 or 20 years ago that DNA techniques have caught up to their innocence. Sucks for those convicted 40 years ago though. Of course, if we had a streamlined appeals process, it would suck for the 15-20 year group too.

He was a realtor -- is there anything much more sleazy than home sales and financing?

Dang. I spent my 15 mod points earlier today. Wish I'd saved one to mod you up -- if I could multiple-mod, I wish I'd saved all 15 to mod you way up.

The point is, we are there on false pretenses doing evil. We need MORE Mannings and more people like the sociopaths on the chopper getting killed.
Because the Democratic half of the single party that runs the country ALSO lied, does not relive the Republican half of that same party from their lies.
And best evidence? Are you as stupid as our government thinks you are?
Well cited summary: http://www.georgewashington2.blogspot.com/2009/11/everyone-knew-that-iraq-didnt-have-wmds.html
Which is 100% of the problem. Nobody should be in the clear for wrong doing, from the top on down.
Yeah right. Try the blue Kool Aid next.

I don't have mod points to undo the unfair "troll", so I'll just say "well put".
