Although one could argue, as many have already, for or against the review, I think the real issue here is that Slashdot has once again posted an author-submitted article. This point was well articulated only 1 day ago, in comment to another Microsoft bashing article.
When will this stop. Is there that little news, or are the editors days too filled writing articles for better paying gigs and such?
...and the real question is...
How long will it take Microsoft to react to the fact that spam condoning ISP's are using the results to help tune the content of spam being sent?
So, as I understand your comments, organizations should do nothing until they can do everything? That is not the way of evolution. Steps taken toward a goal inevitably are determined to be of no use at all, or contribute positively to the end result. I am no fan of the intrusive methods utilized all too frequently, but to not try to improve the situation is not going to make things better.
So an automobile manufacturer should be accused of helping bank robbers if their car is used as the escape vehicle???
I have never posted before, but this headline called for a comment. The whole story should be modded down as bait!
"The way to fix it is to provide less battery time but use that time to write the RAM out to FLASH when the power is cut."
Since the power has been cut, do you mean this battery to also power the hard drive that is being written to?
I mean, given their history, we can't really trust the logs to be accurate.
"Sure, I can see the difference in the benchmarks, but real-life..."
Real life?
For many on this site, benchmarks are "real life"
