    I had one of those back in 2001.
    Once I stop using that laptop I was using inferior screens because of this whole silly HD nonsense.

    Easier to screw up and you need a lot more.

    With CO you only need a few lung fills and having the mask leak is not issue. Not so with N2.

    How could you do damage with spark plugs? Take them out, put new one in. Don't crack them.

    Not in 2013, it is standard tv resolution.
    A new macbook pro is 2560x1600 or 2880x1800. A Chrome pixel is 2560x1700.

    1920x1080 is not an uncommon android phone resolution. At at 5" just about perfect. For a screen any larger it is simply too low.

    Not on mine, but I have done several for family or friends. Almost all were the result of dropping the laptop.

    These days the LCD and LED backlights are all one unit. Adding the glass is not a huge change and likely makes replacement that much easier. I was glad when the backlights became part of the LCD FRU. Doing just the LCD was such a gamble on if you would get dust or a hair trapped in the layers.

    They are still repairable. He acts like having to remove some screws and glue is anything new.

    Displays fused to glass are the normal for tablets and phones, but those seem to get repaired fine. Ungluing a battery might mean some customers would need to get apple to do a replacement, but a self respecting slashdotter should be able to do it himself.

    If I can fix sealed phones surely this laptop is repairable.

    This sounds like hyperbole. Ungluing a battery is not impossible. If the ram goes, sure you are out a mobo, but that is pretty normal for ultrabooks. Either you want it small or you want it easy to repair.

    He provided care no one wanted only to increase his own pay with no care for the wishes or health of the patient.

    I would have to assume at some point resuscitating someone would violate "First do no harm".

    Withholding food and water that are delivered by feeding tube or the like is legal. Most of us do not receive nutrition via a plastic hose into our stomachs.

    Assisted suicide is not legal, your doctor cannot give you enough morphine to kill you.

    Refusing extraordinary care may still leave you dying over a period of months or years. Ever see end stage bone cancer? Not fun.

    He did not kill himself, so he did more stuff. He likely well could have arranged his death by now had he wanted too.

    No one is suggesting we kill everyone with ALS. Only that people with conditions like that have the choice to end their own life.

    If you did the last one, the first should soon follow.

    A great example of this should be any attempt to resuscitate on a patient with a known DNR should not be billable. Any attempt to bill for such unwanted service should be considered theft.

    Excuse me if I don't consider death by organ failure over several days as "quickly". I don't think anyone would call that humane.

    We would put down a dog in that condition. Not let it starve or die by dehydration.

    Actually North Korea has far more market activity than it appears you know about. Their government is such a failure they have to allow it just to get their people fed, even if only some of the time.

    No, that is a philosophical claim.

    The practical fact is that anything outside of nature is untestable and therefore not part of science.

    The fixed rules are found by observation. We don't know that when I drop an apple it will fall, but so far we have observed that to be the case.
