I remember the club of rome in the 70s. THey predicted that by the turn of the century there would be no oil left, we'd be dieing of air pollution and water pollution by the billions and unless we implemented draconian communist restrictions on people we would be in a downward spiral.
Well, these were MIT and other professors. They played with models in many ways and they all showed ridiculous results. Models are ridiculous. The IPCC models have been way off the mark. The 1990 model not only mis-predicted wildly the results from 1990-2000 it couldn't predict any climate before 1990.
This is junk science at its worst. People who base their thinking on these models are going to look like idiots. Those who based their lives on IPCC models in 1990 look like idiots already.
I've tried every wireless solution out there. They all perform poorly. THeir distance is inadequate, they are too slow, miss keystrokes or mouse movements, have to be aimed properly or are too small.
The solution I like is to have a front mounted USB port and to use a USB extender cable (they exist) and run USB to the keyboard. Several keyboards have USB ports on them so that you can hook up real mice or joysticks of any type. The keyboard rests on your lap and with a real mouse against the couch you have an environment that is flawless.
Whether we go in now to Iraq, we go in later, somebody else goes in later, Saddam does it himself, he attacks someone or there is internal civil war it does not make any difference. These things are all threatened until a democratic government and civil society occur in Iraq that cares about history, preserving culture, preserving life, developing a future. The current government is a threat now and in the future and all the US can do is get it over with and give the Iraqis some peace from the 12 years of immoral containment and 30 years of dictatorship.
