IMHO the software and OS that allow these things to bring down email servers and allow dumb users to cause havok are at fault. The issue is that Outlook and Windows are full of "features" which are designed with no thought to security at all.
If "Hacking" wasnt already illegal then what was Kevin put in jail for? Who the hell comes up with these laws? This is the same thing as all the gun laws we have that nobody get prosecuted for. Congress feels that if they are passing pertinent laws then the public will feel they are "Doing something" about the damn hacking problem. So we will feel more "secure" about our online shopping, etc, and the stock prices rise and the NASDAQ will rise...etc...etc...
My problem lies along the same lines. My DSL provider told me that my new place of residence was well within the distance limit for the line I wanted. Three weeks after they were supposed to have started installation, they tell me I cannot get it because Bell atlantic has denied my work order because I am too far. Well, then they say that if they go thru another company besides Covad they may get it thru. OK....how does the distance change???? Is it that hard to get it right? Should I give up and go with cable??? ACK!!!!
I thought the constitution was designed to limit the powers of government. I thought the democrats were supposed to be in favor of the little guy and not big business? Hmmm funny how people are showing thier true colors. Who tells the government when to stop limiting peoples rights when they can just right a new amendment and change what is legal?
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time.
My ADSL is $55 dollars a month. I paid 350 for my router and that is all. I own my router, which I could have leased, and my installation was free. I also got a domain name, etc. But it was worth it.
The Cake is a Lie.
I find it very ironic that someone posts a story about Chinese ability to hack, and it is a PDF. No way in hell I am clicking on that sucker.
Sounds like someone is jealous.
I hate it when people talk behind me while I am trying to code. Man that pisses me off.
Do you think you made a deffinitive impact on security policies today, or do you think that most companies still have a lot to learn about security?
No....the island of Dr. Moreau.
CONGRATS!!! That surprised the heck out of me! Who would have thought. It's the perfect day for it too.

This kind of legislature makes me sick...
AMEN BROTHER!!! I hate commercials on my DVDs. You should be able to skip those by default.
