Lets say that I invented my own special recipe for Crack back in the late 80s... So, does that mean I can set around and smoke it all day and sue other people for using it. No.
1. Don't install Telnet, TFTP, RSH, RLOGIN or anyother clear text services. 2. Disable remote root login. 3. Use IP Tables and TCP Wrappers. 4. On "gateways", bind services to local interfaces only. 5. Use a strong password. 6. Don't install unused services (Example: Do you really need a BIND or SMTP server on your laptop?). 7. One word... up2date (www.redhat.com). 8. One word... www.chkrootkit.org. 9. Monitor your log files (seriously all of them/var/log). 10. Anything windows based is a security nightmare (and no that's not a troll).
And don't forget about all the great _free_ tools out there: nmap, ethereal, tripwire, logwatch.
Google search for any of the above pointers that are not slef explanitory.
Step 1. Caldera buys SCO. Step 2. Flush SCO down the toilet, Linux and OpenUNIX rules! Step 3. Caldera Linux and OpenUNIX sales aren't so good. Step 4. Rebrand as SCO and embrace Linux (if embrace = SuSe's distro ~s/SuSe/SCO/) Step 5. SCO Linux sales aren't to good, but we still own UNIX IP. Step 6. Sue IBM, get them to buy us out for our UNIX IP. Step 7. Read GPL. Step 8. Woops, we GPL'd our way out of a case. Step 9. Strip ourselves of Linux so M$ will give us money. Step 10. Start a FUD war funded by M$. Step 11. ??? Step 12. Profit?
I was listening to a CD, and it was, like, working fine. And then, like, there was an update to fix my problems. And I was, like ? heh?
a Knopptix cluster of these.
Why would the Southern College of Optometry have a problem with Linux?

...This story continues to amaze me...
What continues to amaze me is the following...
Netcraft reports that SCO's own website is running on Linux.
SCO is still apart of UnitedLinux
SCO's own phone number is 1-888-GO-LINUX
They sure have their hands in a lot of Linux for it being so "illegal".
what Fragging is?
Thanks!
This is all a scare tactic. SCO knows their days are numbered. In fact, their stock lost 25% of it's value today because of Novell's press release.
The bottom line is this...
SCO is dying faster than all the BSDs put togther.
PS...
~s/why/way/
The real why to master Mac OS X is to use macosxhints.com and google.com
have such a hard-on for KDE? Isn't Gnome way better?
And Bill Clinton did _not_ have sexual relations with that woman.
There will be a day of reconing with SCO. A totaling of sums and a snaping of necks. I can't wait to deficate on their ashes.

I like that, keep using the Caldera logo to reference SCO. They (SCO) really hate that.
Does anyone have BitTorrent for the past 30 years of the internet? I really need it. Thanks!
I just read the fine print... Suns JVM will only ship on Red Hat's Enterprise Linux Product.
RedHat will also start shipping Sun's Java with their distribution
w00t. One less thing I have to do after install.
No, M$ is an idoit for selling xenix to SCO in 1983.
...but then again it's MS and they prolly have some evil plan with this all...
Ponder this...

Don't make too big of a deal about Glade. With all the recent frivolous lawsuits, SC Johnson Wax will be all over 'em.
