If you are fed up with the RIAA and their backdoor legal manuvers, boycott RIAA artists and the stations that play their music. Find and support local and/or web-based artists and the broadcasters who support them.
Creating your own music or 'net radio station hasn't gotten any harder. This is simply new incentive to dump mass-produced drivel right where it belongs.
Look out for M$FT minions offering 'campaign donations'. I admit I am somewhat ignorant of Aussie politics (sorry... can barely stand ours sometimes), but if politicians are the same the world over, you can expect that M$FT will be looking to seduce yours soon.
When M$FT comes calling to your politicians bearing gifts and speaking of making the necessary legal changes to favor M$FTs 'business model', I urge everyone Down Under to pick them up(M$FT, that is), drag them to the ocean, throw them in and tell them to swim for it.
M$FT PR rule #1: It's okay to manufacture the truth.
Anyone remember the doctored videotape that M$FT had the balls to submit as ***EVIDENCE*** during the antitrust trial?
This is ad snafu is just the latest example to surface, and hardly the worst yet.
Sigh.

The LAST thing we should want is a computer that learns like a human. With my luck I'll probably buy one that complains about homework and gets F's before dropping out of school and mooching off me for life.
How hard/costly/innefficient would it be to build a LAN out of this? If it is higher than 802.11b, wouldnt it be a better network? I am a kid, so just tell me if this was a stupid idea.
I suppose it could make sense in certain situations. 802.11a can supposedly give up to 72mbps by using the 5ghz spectrum. If you need wireless connectivity beyond 802.11(x) trasmission range, this might work.
Mostly, I'd be concerned about latency more than bandwidth. Every noticed a fraction of a second delay while talking on a cell phone? That fraction is an eternity if you are a CPU.
Lastly, allow me to kindly tell you to forget the "only a kid/stupid idea" apology stuff. We'd still be in the stone age if it weren't for kids coming up with brilliant ideas. Don't assume an idea is stupid, simply because stale old farts like me have some preconceived notions about how things are supposed to work.
Never apologize for thinking.
