    I really must say, I'm amazed by some of the comments. This robot wasn't built to prove anything to anyone. It was built because the builder wanted to challenge himself. If you don't like it, close your browser. Steve Hassenplug

    Yes, they will work for that. But several people have suggested an accelerometer could be used to detect tilt to keep the robot from falling over. I don't believe that is the case.

    I knew there was some other stuff I left out. Thanks. But with the accelerometer within an inch of the center of mass, I doubt it could detect much difference.

    I really don't think the accelerometer will work. I agree it can measure tilt on a stationary object, but if an object is falling... Well, I'd really like to see the math.

    For the record, the web site NEVER uses the term Legos (but does use the term LegOS to refer to a programming language) I always say Lego Blocks/Bricks Steve
